It has been financially smooth sailing for Robyn Brown and Kody Brown lately regarding their flagship home purchase.
The reality stars are $130,000 debt-free as they paid off the loan they borrowed to complete their former home purchase fee back in 2021.
Robyn and Kody Brown reportedly paid the loan after buying their $2.1 million home in Flagstaff, Arizona, earlier in the month.
Robyn Brown And Kody Brown Took The Loan During An Urgent Purchase Window
The couple was approved for the urgent six figure home loan in 2021 by the Alaska USA Federal Credit Union on their former $1,775,000 home. The loan document at the time noted that: "Time was of the essence."
Robyn and Kody's former home was initially bought for $890,000 in August 2019 but was sold for almost twice the price on November 4 on a full cash payment.
They even made an extra $125k profit on the sale compared to their previous listing of $1,650,000. Kody's property sits on a two-acre wooded lot, sitting behind tall pine trees on a "secluded ridge."
The couple initially listed the Flagstaff property on August 29 but eventually took the home off the listing without making a sale in early October. However, it is unclear why the pair took their home off the market.
Following the successful sale, In Touch gathered from the Deed of Release and Full Reconveyance that the couple swung into action and fully paid off their loan as of November 15.
The Couple's Loan Settlement Comes After They Sealed A 7-Figure Real Estate Purchase
The payment happened shortly after they splurged $2.1 million on a new Flagstaff home on October 24 through the White Stone Trust.
Robyn and Kody made a hefty down payment of $420,000 to secure the six-bedroom, seven-bathroom, 7,884-square-foot home and took out a loan of $1,680,000 to complete the purchase.
According to the warrant deed, the expansive property features an additional guest home, a detached RV garage, and space for seven cars.
However, the big purchase was overshadowed by questions about Kody's real financial situation since he was neck-deep in a child support and custody lawsuit filed by his ex-wife, Christine Brown.
The Couple May Have Taken Their Old Home Off Listing Due To Christine Brown's Claims
The decision to remove the home may have reportedly been borne out of Christine's demand that the court establish her daughter Truely's paternity amid the absence of Kody's name on her birth certificate.
Per The Blast, Christine also requested domestic relations injunctions to prevent both parties from harassment, domestic violence, taking the children for nonroutine travel without court permissions, canceling or modifying services, and demeaning or speaking ill about each other.
Christine's request also reportedly restricts them from engaging in some specific behaviors, financial matters and activities. Since leaving the marriage in 2022, Truely has been staying with her mother in Utah, which is miles away from Kody's house in Arizona.
Christine Claimed Truely's Absence From Kody's Life Would Help Their Connection
Sources close to the case shared that Christine has been very concerned about Kody's increasing absence in their daughter's life. Other factors like his prolonged and unhealthy fear of COVID-19 and other issues have also worsened the growing distance between the father and daughter.
Christine admitted that relocating to Utah after her split from Kody would keep a healthy relationship between Kody and Truely.
According to her, when the physical difficulties of distance between the father and daughter are removed from the situation, staying away from each other will ultimately do more good than harm to their bond.
Well, Kody did not buy into Christine's perspective, and despite having a strained connection with most of his children, he described his ex-wife's view as "B.S. rationalization" and "ridiculous."
Inside Robyn And Kody Brown's Mini Reunion With Christine At Mykelti Padron's Baby Shower
The three feuding sides finally met eye to eye at a mini reunion enabled by Kody and Christine's daughter's baby shower celebration.
The estranged couple attended the Vegas-themed baby shower to celebrate their daughter, who was expecting twins then. According to Christine, she only reached out to her former husband based on Padron's wish for her parents to be present at the event.
"I will do anything for Mykelti, and Mykelti wants Kody and Robyn at her sprinkle. So, of course, they can come to the sprinkle,"she said as she admitted to feeling knots in her belly seeing Kody and Robyn together for the first time since 2021.
Robyn Brown and Kody Brown can finally heave a sigh of relief and bask in the euphoria of their new home!
