Shannon Beador is officially closing the chapter on her legal dispute with ex-boyfriend John Janssen over an alleged $75,000 facelift loan.

This resolution comes after months of tension, with both reality stars initially informing the court in September that they had no intention of resolving the dispute outside of trial.

John Janssen filed the suit in March, claiming he loaned Shannon Beador the money for a cosmetic procedure during their relationship.

A "Notice of Settlement of Entire Case" was reportedly filed in Orange County Superior Court last Friday, signaling the end of Janssen's $75,000 lawsuit over the alleged facelift loan.

Despite being confident in her ability to win the case, Beador made the decision to settle to avoid the costly legal fees. Her attorney, Dave Beitchman, stated:

"I have no doubt in my mind that Shannon would prevail, but the cost of defending the case would easily be more than the amount sought."

He also praised the reality TV star for "taking the high road" and prioritizing closure over further conflict. "While she was certainly prepared to fight for the truth, I congratulate her on taking the high road and putting this matter behind her," the attorney noted.

Beitchman exclusively told Page Six that Beador's choice to settle was both a "smart emotional and financial" move, calling the lawsuit's premise "shameful."

Beador And Janssen Initially Refused Mediation

By deciding to settle, Beador is putting an end to months of courtroom tension. The Blast highlighted that back in September, both the 60-year-old and Janssen made it clear to the court that they had no intention of settling the case outside of a trial.

Their attorneys communicated, "At this time, the parties do not believe mediation or arbitration would be fruitful." They also noted that the former couple were "waiting to receive discovery response."

ICYMI, Janssen alleged that Beador borrowed $40,000 for a facelift and later requested an additional $35,000, failing to repay either amount after their 2022 breakup

In response to Janssen's filing, Beador denied the claims with her attorney, arguing that during their four-year relationship, they "regularly shared their finances and assisted each other with certain financial contributions."

The mother-of-three's legal team stated that the funds in question were not loans but money shared between the couple while they were together. Beador further claimed that the damages Janssen was seeking were a result of his own actions and negligence.

At the time, she sought to have the lawsuit dismissed entirely and pushed for Janssen to cover her legal fees, calling his claims "frivolous and unfounded."

Beador Doubtful About 'RHOC' Future

As a result of their fallout, Beador was left contemplating her future on the Bravo show ahead of its Season 18 reunion earlier in the month. The star opened up about her struggles, which included a DUI arrest and the painful breakup with the businessman.

The Blast reported that Beador admitted these challenges left her emotionally drained, making it difficult to navigate the season. She noted that the experience pushed her to reassess her commitment to the show, with her decision to return depending on the dynamics of the upcoming cast.

Although she clarified her remarks were not meant as a threat, Beador made it clear she would only return if surrounded by positive and supportive people.

Shannon Beador Reflected On Her Growth And Resilience Amid Emotional Struggles

As Beador considered if she would return to the series, she also took charge of her journey to self-improvement, focusing on setting healthier boundaries and building resilience after a difficult year.

The "RHOC" star, who has been open about her struggles, admits she was in a vulnerable place during last year's reunion, calling herself "a hot mess" while defending her ex, Janssen.

However, Beador now hoped viewers would see the strides she had made in her personal growth. She shared with PEOPLE that, while she appreciates support, she was not seeking sympathy or validation.

"What matters is what I think. I hope they enjoy the show ... I hope that people say, 'Okay, she's working on herself, so good for her,' but I don't need pats on the back. I don't need sympathy," Beador noted.
