Kevin Costner and Sharon Stone were reportedly seen getting cozy at the recently held Governors Award ceremony.
An eye witness says the pair were "openly flirty" at the event and that Stone "winked" at him and was "sweet." The cute interaction comes after she defended him during his divorce from ex-wife Christine Baumgartner.
Since his divorce was finalized, Kevin Costner has been linked to singer Jewel, but the actor has since shut down rumors of a budding romance between the two of them.
Kevin Costner And Sharon Stone Had A 'Flirty' Encounter At The Governors Award
Costner and Stone have set tongues wagging after having a "flirty" encounter at the Governors Award ceremony held at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood on Sunday.
According to the Daily Mail, a source who witnessed the moment shared that the pair were "openly flirty" at the event, suggesting that perhaps they "went home together or even exchanged numbers."
"They started off polite with small talk then he put on his Kevin Costner charm, you know, like the vibes he gave off in Bull Durham and Tin Cup, like heyyyy baby," the eye-witness said. "Who knows if they went home together or even exchanged numbers, but it certainly looks like they liked each other a lot."
The source added, "Sharon is such a class act, she handled the attention very well and was cute. She winked at him and was sweet."
Sharon Stone Defended Kevin Costner During His Divorce From Christine Baumgartner
In 2023, the "Basic Instinct" actress defended Costner amid his divorce from his ex-wife Christine Baumgartner.
Costner and Baumgartner got married in September 2004 but had their marriage dissolved in February 2024 after she cited "irreconcilable differences" in her divorce filing.
However, amid their divorce proceedings, Baumgartner demanded $ 160,000 a month for child support payment as against the $129,000 she was receiving, claiming their children had become accustomed to the luxurious lifestyle the actor gave them.
"It's so much more than this — it's an experience," she told the judge in court, per Hello Magazine.
Speaking on her behalf, her lawyers added that a life of luxury is in their children's "DNA at this point."
However, Stone didn't think highly of her claims as she wrote in an Instagram comment that her "ex thought the same" and added a laughing emoji.
Costner and Baumgartner share three kids: sons Cayden and Hayes and daughter Grace.
The Actor Shut Down Rumors He Was Romantically Involved With Singer Jewel
Following Costner's split from Baumgartner, the actor was romantically linked with singer Jewel after they were captured being cozy around guests during a private charity event on a mutual friend's island.
However, during his appearance on "The Howard Stern Show" earlier in the month, he refuted the rumors, saying he and the singer had "never gone out."
"Jewel and I are friends. We've never gone out, ever," Costner told Stern. "She's special, and … I don't want these rumors to ruin our friendship because that's what we have. She's special to me. She's beautiful enough to go out with."
He added, "I've had conversations with her, text-wise, and she's so smart, and she's been through a lot herself, and so we have a friendship. We don't have a romance, and we've not dated."
Kevin Costner Is Not In A Rush To See 'Yellowstone'
Costner was recently in the news for his shady remark about part two of "Yellowstone's" season finale.
In the hit Western series, he played the fan-favorite character of John Dutton but was killed off the show after a reported fallout with the show's producers.
Costner recently appeared on SiriusXM's "The Michael Smerconish Program," where he weighed in on his character's death following the premiere of season 5b. The 69-year-old actor insinuated that he had lost interest in watching how his character was killed off after hearing that it was "a suicide."
"I didn't see it," he admitted, per Page Six. "I heard it's a suicide, so that doesn't make me want to rush to go see it."
Host Michael Smerconish then pointed out that his character wasn't the "suicide kind of guy," to which Costner responded, "Well, they're pretty smart people."
"Maybe it's a red herring. Who knows? They're very good. And they'll figure that out."
The Actor Reacts To Fan Outrage Over His Exit
Meanwhile, several fans have been vocal about their dislike for Costner's exit from the show, with many of them particularly not in support of the way he was killed off in the Paramount series.
During a conversation with E! News at the Governors Ball on Sunday, the "Waterworld" actor weighed in on fans' reactions even as he revealed that he had pitched series creator Taylor Sheridan two different endings for his character.
"Fans have a voice in things, and they choose to follow stuff," Costner said. "They do what they want to do. That's fine with me," he noted in reference to Sheridan's relegation of his suggestions.
