Maria Georgas Slams Pete Davidson Romance And Rehab Rumors: 'I'm Friends With His Sister'

Maria Georgas sets all the facts straight on the rumors about her and Pete Davidson. The star clarified where she stands romantically with the comedian and addressed reports of his return to rehab.

Pete Davidson reportedly checked into a rehabilitation center for the second time this year following an alleged series of struggles with mental health issues.

The American actress took to her social media to give a piece of her mind on the growing romance news involving her and the SNL alum. In her words:

"Never dated Pete. False rumor. I'm friends with his sister. Case Closed." 

She also addressed reports of him returning to rehab for further treatments and clarified that the comedian is recovering well at home. She noted:

"Just spoke to his sister he's not in rehab and has been sober for months. Can't believe this s—t it's very insulting to his recovery and my mental health. He's literally home."

An insider reportedly told The Sun that the 31-year-old recently admitted himself to a Florida mental health treatment center, flying in on a private jet. 

Strangely, the star did not show signs of any mental health distress at his recent outings, which included an appearance on "Saturday Night Live" on November 2 and an event with artist Machine Gun Kelly in late October.

If true, his visit marks at least the fifth time David has visited a treatment center for professional help. It was reported that a source close to him claimed, "He's in pretty bad shape this time around. He's not in a good place."

Davidson canceled several performances on his Prehab tour and entered treatment in July. His stay was, however, very short, as he checked out a few weeks after signing in.

Despite being such a positive figure, the actor's stressful year severely affected his personal and professional bonds. Sources claimed the actor has been standoffish with his close allies, and his new behavior has become a "headache" to his loved ones.

He has also reportedly grown completely unreliable, leading to a strained relationship with his longtime friend and former "SNL" co-star Colin Jost. 

Reports suggest the two, once partners in turning a Staten Island Ferry into a bubbling spot, have grown apart very much, with Jost now wanting "nothing to do" with Davidson.

Asides from his complicated friendships, the pop culture icon's unpredictable actions have reportedly negatively impacted his career. "He's just really hard to deal with, not showing up to meetings. At least one project has been canceled because of it," a source confirmed.

Some concerned friends have, however, shown empathy for his struggles and urged the comedian to leave the shining lights of Hollywood behind in pursuit of peace and stability.

In September, the star's repeated rehab trips left his close pals desperate for him to return to his Staten Island roots. 

"Pete should move in with his mom [Amy] and not look back," an insider declared, claiming that the fast life of Hollywood is taking a big swing at his mental health.

"He's just not solid enough to say 'no' when he has to," the source concluded, noting that some of his A-list friends are there to use him for fame.

Sources even accused his ex, Kim Kardashian, of profiting from their highly publicized relationship without taking a minute to check in on him amid his recent struggles.

Speaking of exes, Davidson bagged a new one when The Blast shared that he ended his relationship with Cline after about a year together. The comedian and 26-year-old actress reportedly decided to call things off after their spark seemingly fizzled out quietly.

No one can confirm the exact time they broke up due to the very low profile of their romance. They reportedly have not been seen together publicly since January.

The pair were last spotted together at his stand-up performance at the Helium Comedy Club in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Prior to that time, their last couple sighting was at Bobo's Café in Somers, New York, where the comedian is a regular. As for their split, a source shared:

"They ended things fairly recently, and I understand it was amicable."

None of the former couple has come out to address the split publicly. Davidson has an interesting resume of romantic relationships in Hollywood, including exes Ariana Grande, Kardashian, and Kate Beckinsale.

The former couple's love story was written in the star as they found each other shortly after ending their respective relationship with their previous partners.

Davidson reportedly broke up with his "Bodies Bodies Bodies" co-star Chase Sui Wonders after they'd been together for almost a year.

Cline had also been single since her split from her "Outer Banks" co-star Chase Stokes, whom she was with for over a year. Back in April, a source confirmed that the comedian and actress were still going strong and completely in love with each other.

The source explained that their "independent" personal nature made the relationship a piece of cake for Davidson and Cline at the time.
