Pete Davidson has reportedly returned to rehab, marking his second stint this year, as concerns over his mental health continue to grow.
This latest development follows months of worry from his inner circle, who have urged the comedian to step away from the pressures of Hollywood and return to his Staten Island roots.
Pete Davidson's repeated battles with mental health have been an ongoing challenge, although his trips to rehabilitation facilities reflect his efforts to seek help.
Pete Davidson Checks Into Rehab Again
Davidson's recent public appearances, including a cameo on Saturday Night Live on November 2 and an event with friend Machine Gun Kelly in late October, did not hint at trouble brewing.
However, an insider revealed that the 31-year-old recently entered a Florida treatment center, flying in on a private jet.
This marks at least the fifth time Davidson has sought rehab care. "He's in pretty bad shape this time around. He's not in a good place," the source shared with The Sun.
Earlier this year, he canceled several performances on his Prehab tour and entered treatment in July. That stint, however, was brief, with the star checking out just weeks after admission.
The Former 'Saturday Night Live' Star's Troubled Year Causes Fractured Friendships
Davidson's tumultuous year has reportedly taken a toll on his personal and professional relationships. Sources reveal the actor has been distancing himself from close allies, with insiders claiming his behavior has become a "headache."
Davidson's unreliability has allegedly strained ties, including with longtime friend and former "SNL" co-star Colin Jost. Reports suggest the two, once partners in turning a Staten Island Ferry into an entertainment hub, have drifted apart, with Jost now wanting "nothing to do" with Davidson.
In addition to strained friendships, the TV personality's erratic actions have reportedly impacted his career. "He's just really hard to deal with, not showing up to meetings. At least one project has been canceled because of it," said a source.
Davidson's Friends Urge Him To Leave Hollywood For Good
While Davidson has faced fractured relationships this year, some friends are rallying behind him, urging the troubled comedian to leave Hollywood for his own good.
In September, The Blast noted that the star's repeated rehab stints left his close pals desperate for him to return to his Staten Island roots. "Pete should move in with his mom [Amy] and not look back," an insider shared.
They noted that the Hollywood lifestyle continues to take a toll on Davidson's mental health, adding, "He's just not solid enough to say 'no' when he has to."
Concerns also stem from Davidson's A-list connections, with friends accusing some of exploiting him for fame. Among the alleged users was his ex, Kim Kardashian, who allegedly leveraged their high-profile romance for publicity after her split from Ye.
The Actor's Exes Face Criticism For Lack Of Support
Davidson's former flames came under fire, with insiders slamming their lack of support during his struggles. A source specifically called out "The Kardashian" star, accusing her of using Davidson for clout before abandoning him.
The source said of the reality TV star, "Where's Kim when all the stuff goes down? Nowhere! But what do you expect from Hollywood?"
Kardashian was not the only ex-girlfriend catching heat. Davidson's relationship with "Outer Banks" star Madelyn Cline was also scrutinized. Their July split reportedly left Davidson spiraling. The insider revealed:
"Pete took the breakup very hard. For just a blink of an eye, he may have thought she was the one. They burned so brightly together and had so much in common."

Before his recent rehab stay, Davidson appeared to be turning a corner, stepping out in Los Angeles with a noticeable transformation, per The Blast. The "Bupkis" star made a public appearance at the L.A. Clippers' opening game in October, sporting a strikingly simple red FDNY T-shirt.
The shirt was reportedly a heartfelt nod to his late father, firefighter Scott Matthew Davidson, who tragically lost his life during the 9/11 attacks.
However, Davidson's evolving image showed that several of his iconic tattoos, particularly on his arms, appeared significantly faded. The tattoo-free look signaled a possible fresh start for the star, who has been open about his mental health struggles.
Despite facing ongoing mental health challenges, Pete Davidson's return to rehab highlights his focus on rebuilding himself.
