Angelina Jolie Accused Of Using Rarely Seen Son Knox 'To Get Under' Brad Pitt's Skin Amid Legal Battle

Angelina Jolie recently made a stunning appearance on the red carpet of the Governors Ball with her rarely seen son Knox, who many feel is the spitting image of his father, Brad Pitt, when he was younger.

Sources close to Pitt have now claimed that the actor found it "odd" Jolie would walk the red carpet with Knox for the event and found the timing "suspicious" amid their ongoing legal battle.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have been locked in a bitter legal proceeding over their once-shared winery after Jolie sold her stake in the company to a Russian billionaire.

The "Maleficent" star looked dashing on the red carpet of the Governors Ball, where she walked arm-in-arm with her son Knox.

The teenager towered over his mom as they stood for pictures at the event, which was held at the Ray Dolby Ballroom.

Jolie wore a vintage gold and cream mohair gown and completed the look with brown platform heels, a diamond necklace, and bejeweled earrings.

On the other hand, Knox dressed up for the big night out, sporting a classic all-black tuxedo with a white button-up shirt, a black bow tie, and black shoes.

According to the Daily Mail, a source accused Jolie of using outings with her children to "get under her ex-husband's skin," adding that Pitt found the latest red carpet appearance "odd" and was "suspicious" about its timing.

"Brad only gets to see his children when they walk on the carpet with their mom, and the timing of this could not be any more suspicious considering it was just decided that he and Angie are headed to trial," the source shared.

They added, "She is trying to get under his skin after his recent win, and using Knox to do so is odd."

Pitt and Jolie share kids: Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, and twins Knox and Vivienne. However, his relationship with them has gone sour since his bitter split from their mom, with some of them dropping his surname.

The insider went on to accuse Jolie of deepening the estrangement between the "Fight Club" actor and their children in the aftermath of their divorce.

"Knox wants nothing to do with Hollywood and has no communication with Brad," the source explained. "Of course, it bothers him that Angelina has turned them against him. She did this while they were all young and they didn't even get a chance to make up their minds about him."

"He believes that, in time, his children will come back into his life," the insider added.

Meanwhile, another source said that it was Knox's idea to attend the event in order to support his mom.

"Knox chose to attend the awards with his mom, and they had a nice mother-son evening," the insider noted, per the Daily Mail. "Their decision to attend together did not have anything to do with Brad."

Pitt and Jolie are set to head to court next year as their long-running battle over their Chateau Miraval winery heads to trial.

According to the news outlet, the former couple must now go toe-to-toe in court after a judge threw out the "Eternals" actress's motion to dismiss her ex-husband's lawsuit over their French vineyard.

The legal standoff began after Jolie sold her shares in their joint-owned estate to Russian oligarch Yuri Shefler in 2021 without Pitt's knowledge.

The actor claimed they had a verbal agreement to which he had the right to first refusal if she ever wanted out of the business. He then claimed she did it to "inflict harm" on him following the breakdown of their marriage.

Jolie said in her filing that the agreement with Pitt was nullified after he requested that she sign an NDA regarding their marriage.

"It's already been ugly, but it's going to get even uglier as Angie is bent on retaliating against Brad and will try to continue to settle more old personal scores," a source close to the case told the Daily Mail.

Meanwhile, Jolie has opened up on the reason why none of their children would follow in either of their footsteps to pursue a career in acting.

During the AFI premiere of her new film "Maria" in Los Angeles last month, the "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" actress explained that she doesn't think any of her children with Pitt would choose to follow their footsteps as they mostly like to live far away from the public eye.

"No, I think they're especially shy, very private people, and they want to be private," she told E! News.

In an interview with CR Fashion Book, Jolie, who has an extensive collection of tattoos, revealed that some of her six children share the same tattoos with her.

When interviewer Carine Roitfeld asked about her latest tattoo, Jolie explained, "I got 'Stay Gold' with my daughter Viv during our time with 'The Outsiders.' It means so much to us separately and together."

The "Maleficent" actress also shared that some of her other children have matching tattoos.

"There is also a Bird that I share with some of my children that is personal to us," she noted. Jolie first revealed the bird tattoo at the Tony Awards in New York City in June.
