Christina Haack & Heather Rae El Moussa Say Filming ‘The Flip Off’ Easier Without Josh Hall

After subtly throwing shade at her estranged husband for months, Christina Haack has finally addressed one of the reasons behind her divorce from Josh Hall.

The HGTV star recently sat down for an interview about her upcoming show "The Flip Off." The program was set to showcase Haack and her ex-husband, Tarek El Moussa, competing in renovating houses with their spouses.

However, the plot did a 180 following Christina Haack's separation from Josh Hall, an outcome everyone, excluding him, seemed to love. Heather Rae El Moussa, Tarek El Moussa's wife, echoed her lookalike's comments about Josh dampening the set's vibes.

A snippet of Christina's interview was shared on Instagram, capturing her promoting her upcoming reality TV show. When asked about Josh's appearance in the project, she confirmed they shot a few uncomfortable episodes together, saying:

"It was not fun, to be honest. I did not enjoy filming with him. Having split up made this, to be honest, so much easier and so much better in every way."

The interviewer noted that her ex-husband and his wife had commented on how she had changed positively since the split before the clip cut to their interview. Heather confessed she did not like having Josh around, noting:

"I don't wanna be mean, but it was kinda nice to see him go."

While addressing her divorce, Christina claimed her marriage had been on the rocks for a long time. "I've been telling him that things were bad for at least a year, probably 18 months," she said, adding:

"When someone is insecure by you and doesn't like to watch you win, that like really puts a damper on everything. Well, I feel like I was not shining as bright to try to not make him feel emasculated."

Christina doubled down on production being better without Josh, stressing: "The show would have been hard to film. Jealousy over Tarek.Doesn't like, you know, our dynamic. Like, the whole thing just would have been not as fun."

The TV personality's comments about her estranged husband divided fans in the comment section. One group called out Christina to take a good look at herself, noting she was on her third divorce.

A critic penned, "Perhaps she's the common denominator?? How many husbands now?" Another echoed similar sentiments, writing, "3 divorces — maybe she is the problem." While a third noted that Tarek looked happier with Heather than he was with Christina.

However, others bashed these speculations and blamed Josh for the divorce. A fan claimed "he was impatient and annoyed" with Christina during an episode of "Christina in the Country," stressing that he was only after her money.

Months before Christina's comments about Josh, The Blast reported that the pair's on-screen relationship had ended. In July, sources revealed production of "The Flip Off" had continued despite the entertainer's divorce.

The show, scheduled for a 2025 premiere, reportedly underwent plot changes to accommodate Josh's exit. It was unclear how the program revamped its original theme, but it promised to deliver the dynamic content viewers anticipated.

As for Christina and Josh's separation, sources claimed their split wasn't an abrupt decision. They noted the breakup stemmed from tensions that had been building for some time. These issues might be related to the pair's professional dynamic, which was far from amicable.

The cordial bond between Christina, Tarek, and Heather made waves earlier this year following a mistaken identity joke. The Blast shared that the women displayed their doppelganger vibes by rocking matching outfits.

The video started with Tarek and Heather entering a coffee shop for a chai latte. However, when "The Flip or Flop" star approached a blonde woman in a white shirt and pleated miniskirt, it turned out to be his ex-wife.

Christina did not appreciate the mix-up neither did Heather, who slapped her husband. However, Tarek defended his actions, playfully noting: "Well, I guess it is confusing." At the time, Josh joined the fun with a facepalm emoji, seemingly showing his approval of the post.
