In her new role, Rodrigo joins a prestigious roster of Lancôme ambassadors, including Hollywood icons Julia Roberts and Amanda Seyfried, as well as fan-favorites Lily Collins, Emma Chamberlain, and Joy Sunday.

Known for her expressive style and authentic approach to self-expression, Olivia Rodrigo is poised to bring a fresh and youthful energy to the Lancôme brand.

The announcement of Rodrigo's new role comes with a striking portrait that perfectly captures her signature look—flawless winged eyeliner paired with a bold red lip.

“Embracing your individuality is so important in beauty since there are many unrealistic expectations placed on young women today,” the former Disney Channel star shared in a statement, per PEOPLE Magazine. “Lancôme is an iconic and timeless brand that promotes beauty from within and I am honored to be part of their family."

According to Lancôme international brand president Françoise Lehmann, the company is “incredibly proud” to embark on this new journey with Rodrigo.

In a press release, Lehmann explained that Rodrigo was chosen for her "independent rock and roll spirit and her commitment to building an equitable and just future for women and girls," qualities that continue to inspire audiences worldwide.

Rodrigo’s music, especially her debut album "SOUR" and its follow-up "GUTS," delves into the raw emotions of heartbreak, self-discovery, and empowerment. During her "GUTS" world tour stop in St. Louis, Missouri, in March 2024, Olivia Rodrigo teamed up with the Missouri Abortion Fund to provide concertgoers with condoms and emergency contraception. The effort was a response to Missouri's "trigger ban," enacted after the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, which restricts abortions to cases where the pregnant person's life is at risk.

“So many women and so many girls are going to die because of this," she said, per The Guardian, during one of her concerts. "I wanted to dedicate this next song to the five members of the Supreme Court who have showed us that at the end of the day, they truly don’t give a sh-t about freedom.”

Before singing, she added, “The song is for the justices: Samuel Alito, Clarence Thomas, Neil Gorsuch, Amy Coney Barrett, Brett Kavanaugh. We hate you! We hate you."
