After an 8-round fight, Paul came out victorious by a decision made by three judges. Tyson's age disadvantage was apparent throughout the match as Paul seemed to dominate him across all eight rounds.
The three judges present scored in Paul's favor, with Tyson landing 18 punches and Paul landing 78 punches.
According to the final game stats, Paul threw a total of 278 punches, while Tyson only threw 97 punches, as he seemed to be guarding himself and dodging for most of the fight.
After the event, Paul and Tyson showed their respect and admiration for each other with the boxing legend noting that he always knew Paul would put up a good fight.
Mike Tyson Shared His Prep For The Fight With Jake Paul
Ahead of the duo's fight, Tyson talked about how he plans to prepare mentally and physically for the challenge.
"I'll be in bed before I go to the fight, take a warm bath, watch some karate movies," he explained. "Then cold showers before the fight."
For Tyson, a devout Muslim, his pre-fight ritual also includes time for prayer. However, he shared that his prayers are never about dominating his opponent.
"I never pray and wish that I kick somebody's ass in a fight," he said. "I believe God loves the other guy as much as he loves me. I pray I don't get killed. But not that I win."
Though some critics have dismissed the event as a cash grab, Tyson, who is reportedly earning $20 million for this fight, brushed off those claims.
"Money doesn't mean nothing," he stated firmly. "Money from this is not going to change my life. I'm living a great life. My cannabis company is the biggest in the world. Money has nothing to do with this. If anything, it's about ego."
The Boxing Legend Faced Health Challenges That Caused The Fight To Be Initially Postponed
Tyson and Paul were initially scheduled to fight on July 20, but the boxing legend came down with a severe medical emergency, leading to a postponement.
"Coming here from Miami on the plane, I went to the bathroom, and I threw up blood. Next thing I know, I'm on the floor, and I was defecating tar," Tyson said in a Netflix documentary, "Countdown: Paul vs. Tyson." "So I came (to the hospital), they said I had a big ulcer, two and a half inches, it was bleeding. All my friends were calling me like I'm dying."
"A week and a half ago, I was training, and I was doing great, and then all of a sudden, I started feeling tired," Tyson said in the documentary about how he was feeling prior to the flight. "And I was explaining to my trainer, I don't know what's wrong with me."
The fight generated so much buzz online, with both participants helping to keep the conversation going on social media.
Despite the health scare, Tyson assured his fans that he was "ready to fight."
"I've said everything I had to say. There's nothing else to say. I'm just looking forward to fighting," Tyson said. "I'm not going to lose."
Jake Paul Bragged About His Expensive Outfit For The Fight With Mike Tyson
Prior to Paul's fight with Tyson, the famous influencer made an appearance on viral sensation Haliey Welch's podcast show, "Talk Tuah," where he bragged about his $1 million walk outfit.
According to the Daily Mail, Paul claimed he would wear the "most expensive outfit in boxing history" when he took to the ring to face Mike Tyson in Texas on Friday night.
Speaking on the show, Paul told Welch that his outfit would draw inspiration from Tyson's career.
"This outfit that I have made for the fight is the most expensive fight outfit in the history of boxing," the influencer said, adding, "It's $ 1 million. It has cost a pretty penny and it is very shiny, that's the hints I will give."
"For the walkout I am going to be driving in a certain vehicle to the ring, which is going to be pretty cool. The rest you are going to have to wait and see, the song is sort of related to Mike Tyson's career and a film that he did," Paul noted.

During the pre-fight weigh-in, the two men had a tense moment when Paul stepped on Tyson's toe, causing the boxing legend to slap him across the face.
Speaking of the moment, Tyson told the New York Post that Paul "stepped on my toe because he is a f-cking a-shole. I wanted to think it happened by accident. But now I think it may have happened on purpose."
"I was in a lot of pain. I had to reciprocate," he added.
The world-renowned boxer explained that he had on just socks while Paul was wearing a shoe, which likely made it really hurt the 58-year-old.
A representative of Tyson told the news outlets, "Jake has been poking the bear the whole time. Mike slapped the sh-t out of him."
