Prepon clarified that the split did not happen around the time Foster signified. Instead, she declared the date of separation as September 9, 2024.
According to her, Foster's team may have made a clerical error when drafting his divorce papers, as they were married for 6 years, from May 25, 2018, to 2024.
The former couple share two children and reportedly placed a prenuptial agreement before walking down the aisle and exchanging their vows.
Per In Touch, Prepon agreed that the union crumbled due to irreconcilable differences and their inability to live together as husband and wife in the later years of their marriage.
Ben Foster Requested In His Petition That They Settle Their Legal Fees Separately
Foster made several demands in his petition, including that the court "make an equitable division of the marital assets and debts based on the terms of the parties' prenuptial agreement."
He also requested that both parties be responsible for paying their legal fees. Foster hired a vast divorce attorney, Rose Palermo, to represent his interest in the case.
Palermo has an excellent track record, which includes representing Billy Ray Cyrus in his bitter divorce from Firerose and Kristin Cavallari in her divorce from Jay Cutler.
The estranged couple became romantically involved in July 2016 and were engaged months later. They have reportedly known each other since their teenage years, making the relationship more convenient for them.
