Tammy Slaton is hitting an unexpected roadblock on her weight loss journey, as plans for her long-awaited skin removal surgery face complications.

This little hold-up comes after the "1000-LB Sisters" star was recently in the headlines and celebrated for reaching another major weight loss milestone.

Slaton made incredible strides in her weight loss journey, but her next big step—skin removal surgery—has hit a pause. During a recent consultation, her plastic surgeon, Dr. Brad Turner, revealed that she is not quite ready for the procedure yet.

Visibly disheartened by her doctor's decision, Slaton hung her head, clearly upset. When asked if she would allow a checkup in other areas, her response reflected her mood.

"I just don't wanna get undressed," the 38-year-old said softly, her tone heavy with disappointment. Her frustration is understandable, as she had been eager to take the next step in her journey by addressing the excess skin. 

However, in TLC's Instagram clip, Dr. Turner explained that while Slaton has made remarkable progress, she is only 13 months post-bariatric surgery and needs more time to achieve her goal weight.

"I'm definitely not telling you, 'No.' I'm just telling you, 'Not tomorrow,'" Dr. Turner reassured. He added that another six months to a year of continued weight loss would make her an ideal candidate for the procedure.

Though Slaton's reaction to the news was a disappointment, her commitment to her health journey inspired fans and garnered praise for her determination.

One fan did not hold back, stating, "I would get mad too lol." Another empathized with her frustration, writing, "Come on! Just think how much extra weight in skin she's carrying."

A third offered reassurance, saying, "Tammy you have come so far and you are winning. Keep up the work and get your surgery next year. You got this."

As reported by The Blast, Slaton recalled weighing 303 pounds at her last doctor's visit, making her latest progress even more remarkable. In the clip, the ecstatic star smiled as her brother cheered her on, shouting, "Congratulations, that's good!"

Reflecting on the milestone, Slaton proudly declared, "I'm the baby sister, but I'm not the 'big' baby sister no more." Chris later admitted he never imagined his sister being smaller than him, given her lifelong struggles with weight.

Slaton's incredible milestone had social media buzzing with praise and encouragement. Even "90 Day Fiancé" star Tyray Mollett joined in, commenting, "That's amazing! She's killing it."

Slaton debunked claims about Amy being pregnant, saying, "I wish people would stop spreading rumors, but I'm here to tell you, Amy is not pregnant." She also squashed the shocking rumor that her brother Chris's wife, Brittany, had passed away, adding, "Brittany did not pass away."

The speculation had suggested that Amy was expecting a third child with an unnamed partner, following her 2023 divorce from Michael Halterman, with whom she shares sons Gage Deon and Glenn Allen.
