Couple In Australia Finds Surprise Visitor In Their Bedroom: '100% Australia'

Imagine coming home after a long day and finding a surprise guest just hanging out in your bedroom. A couple who lives in Australia didn't have to imagine such a thing and documented it for the world to see.

Fran Dias Rufino shared the shocking moment that had her and her husband questioning what to do in the most hilarious way in a TikTok video that has since gone viral.

While many TikTok viewers claimed they wanted to hug the fluffy intruder, that's not how this encounter went down for Fran and her husband Brunno.

"A normal day in Australia," is written over the slightly chaotic video that includes yelling and confusion.

"What do I do?" Brunno asked his wife as he watched a koala casually climbing onto their bedroom end table. While the video ends with the unexpected intruder standing on the end table with its back to the shocked couple, they were able to get the furry guy out of their house safely off camera.

The short video quickly went viral and currently has more than 13 million views and 20,000 comments, most of which are jokes about the odd situation.

One viewer wrote, "He looked so annoyed at you for overreacting," to which Fran replied, "Was 12:30am definitely I was surprised to have he making party in my bedroom."

"My toxic trait is thinking I could keep it as a pet!!" another viewer shared. One other said, "He looked back like his parents just caught him doing something he wasn’t supposed to be doing."

And there were many other funny thoughts filling the comment section.

"He’s so cute. 1st you clean your room and make the guest feel welcome," one viewer wrote. Fran replied, "He made this mess."

Not long after the original video went viral, the couple shared a follow up to give more of the story.

"This was a completely unexpected situation. The koala just appeared. Imagine, you found a koala, you found an odd wild animal in your bedroom, what do you do?" Brunno said. Fran then jumped in to say, "At 12:30 a.m."

She continued to explain that when they got home, the new friend was there and they didn't "expect a koala in our bedroom."

She then said the koala is safe before joking about keeping him as a pet.

One viewer wrote, "You could’ve had a new pet!! Haha!!! I loved the video!" and Fran responded, "He didn’t want to stay, he thought I was too loud but he is welcome to come back any time he wants to."

In a second follow up video, the couple explains how they finally got their new surprise friend out of their home.

"I told him that he should at least take a shower before going to bed. He got mad and ran away," Brunno said while they both laughed about the situation.

Brunno then said he tried to pick him up, but that didn't exactly work out, so he tried to scare him away with a blanket and pushed him into the hallway.

Another update video shared how the koala got into the house in the first place, because many people were asking.

"The koala came through our house by using my dog's door," Fran said. "We left it open because my dog is an old dog. We didn't have a dog door in Brazil and he doesn't know how to use it."

She said she believes the koala made himself at home for about five hours based on the time they were out of the house. She also clarified that the koala was a messy guest, because he made the mess in the bedroom.

Fran addressed the comment, "The best part of this, your profile pic is you holding a koala," in another video update.

"One of the first things we did when come to Australia was visit a sanctuary," Fran said, as Brunno jumped in to clarify, "a wildlife sanctuary."

Fran explained that at the wildlife sanctuary, she got the opportunity to hold a koala. She explained that the koala in her room was a very "different situation" though.

"You manifested that koala right into your home," one viewer pointed out. Another said. "Koala whisperer."
