Jax Taylor Breaks Silence On His Reaction To Brittany Cartwright's Explicit Photos Sent To His Friend

Bravo is all about reality TV drama, but Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright are raising the bar with their sizzling confessions. 

Following Cartwright's not-so-subtle jabs at her estranged husband, Taylor has finally broken his silence on their breakup and why he ended up in rehab.

The "Vanderpump Rules" star got a bitter dose of his own medicine when Brittany Cartwright chose to hook up with one of his pals. Plot twist: Jax Taylor claims his soon-to-be ex-wife had relations with his friend while they were contemplating a reunion.

Taylor addressed Cartwright's brief romance with his pal, Julian Sensley, on Thursday's episode of Bravo's "Hot Mic" podcast. He stressed that the timing of their relationship broke him in many ways despite it happening during their estrangement.

According to the former bartender, "things were looking good" between him and Cartwright months into their separation. Taylor claimed their relationship was so "great" they considered reconciling.

"I'll be honest, we had relations before I left, literally right before I left [for a Fourth of July trip]. I come back home, and I said, 'Hey, what do you think about moving back?' And she said, 'Yeah,'" the TV personality alleged.

However, Taylor's hopes for a reunion were brutally crushed when he discovered Cartwright and Sensley were still on speaking terms. He implied that he was led to believe their "casual" fling had ended.

The truth about Cartwright's relationship with his friend became clear when Taylor got hold of their chats. He recalled the bitter moment vividly, noting it sparked an emotional breakdown, saying:

"I just saw the iPad, and she was still talking to Julian and sending him pictures, like naked pictures and pictures of my son, and I just lost it. And that's where I hit the bottom of the barrel. That's where I just saw red."

Taylor claimed he experienced an out-of-body moment where he "went crazy" and threw furniture. "That was my breaking point," he confessed, stressing that the estranged couple's young son Cruz was not near them when it happened.

Taylor's friends got wind of what happened and scheduled an intervention two days later. They did not mince their words with "The Valley" star, encouraging him to seek help at a rehabilitation facility.

He took their advice and checked himself into a month-long treatment program, where he was diagnosed with multiple conditions. The list included bipolar disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, and narcissistic personality disorder.

Still on Cartwright's romance with his pal, Taylor refuted her claim about them not having a "no dating in the friend group policy." He stressed that one of their separation rules stated they wouldn't hook up with friends or people they knew.

Taylor believed he wouldn't have been as negatively impacted as he was if Cartwright had dated a stranger. However, his longtime relationship with Sensley made their romance feel "like it was such a slap in the face."

Taylor accused Cartwright of hiding her bond with Sensley while they were allegedly contemplating reconciling. However, he also saw the situation as punishment for his past actions, noting:

"Yes, we were separated, but we were still hanging out with each other. Meanwhile, she was dating this guy … Maybe it's karma, but man, I definitely got a taste of my own medicine for sure."

"It just didn't feel good. It put a really bad taste in my mouth, and that's kinda where the downward spiral started for me, […] but the last eight months of my life have been hell. I went off the deep end. I really did," Taylor confessed.

Taylor's "karma" comment matched Cartwright's thoughts about her romance with his friend. The Blast reported that during Tuesday's episode of the podcast, she stressed that she did not plan to hook up with Sensley.

However, she eventually pursued him, fueled by her anger at Taylor for years of mistreatment. "I was just so mad at Jax. I didn't care if I hurt his feelings like that. Why should I care?" Cartwright confessed.

The Bravo star noted that she was attracted to Sensley and did not feel guilty about pursuing her interest. "Jax has no legs to stand on. He hooked up with my friend; let's all remember that," she added, referring to Taylor's infamous scandal with her pal Faith Stowers.

Given the unresolved grievances between Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright fans can expect more hot tea to be spilled.
