WWE stars Goldberg and Dolph Ziggler almost had a "SummerSlam" rematch when the two wrestlers happened to bump into each other during dinner.

The melee almost went down last weekend while the two superstars were both dining at Andiamo Italian Steakhouse located inside the D Casino Hotel in downtown Las Vegas.

We're told Goldberg was at Andiamo with a group of friends, including MMA fighter Roy "Big Country" Nelson.

At the same time Goldberg was there, legendary adult entertainer Kendra Lust was celebrating her birthday at the same restaurant, and she happened to have Goldberg's nemesis, WWE star Dolph Ziggler, at her table.

The two have a history as the WWE Hall of Famer squared up against Ziggler at SummerSlam, and walked away with a victory after defeating the young star.

It appears there is still bad blood between the two, because as Goldberg got up from his table he bumped into Ziggler, and the trash talk immediately picked up from where it had left off.

Guests in the restaurant looked on in amazement and took out their phones as Ziggler taunted Goldberg.

That was all Goldberg needed to hear before he lunged at Ziggler ... but luckily for the current Raw Tag Team Champion, Roy Nelson and another MMA star, Eryk Anders, were able to separate the two warriors.

Guests in restaurant could hardly contain their excitement as they had front row seats to their own WWE main event.

After the incident, Ziggler hung around long enough for his friend Kendra to blow out the candles on her cake, and then he hit the road.

Both groups of celebrities, and every other star that goes through the D, were handled by casino executive, Richard Wilk ... who was definitely thankful that the WWE stars didn't send each other through one of the restaurant's fancy tables!
