"Alaskan Bush People" star Matt Brown has been on a good path to rebuilding the relationship with his family, and now he's on a good path for his personal health as he revealed he has been sober for over a year.
The oldest of Billy and Ami Brown's children, Matt had left the Discovery reality show after his battle with addiction became too much to handle.

Matt struggles with alcoholism, and last year entered treatment for a second attempt at rehab.
At the time, he admitted, "I struggle with substance abuse, and after a year of ups and downs, I decided to return to treatment.
He had reportedly left the facility early, and friends and family were worried he had fallen off the wagon.
However, Matt apparently kept on the path of sobriety, and showed off a sobriety coin to fans, along with an inspirational message about his own journey.
"A year and almost 2 month's ago, I started out on a quest of self understanding, and awareness, to find a better way of existing in the world. It has forever changed my life for the better :) This coin is a reminder, Never give up! Never surrender!"

During his previous stints of abuse, Matt's relationship with his family turned sour, and his father reportedly exiled his eldest son from the reality show.
There are rumors that Matt has been able to work back into the family's good graces, now that he's clean and working to maintain his sobriety.

He missed brother Gabe's wedding back in June, but the reason he skipped the ceremony is still unclear.
