Lisa Barlow, a "Real Housewives of Salt Lake City" star recently missed an appearance with Bravo's Andy Cohen on the February episode of "Watch What Happens Live" due to a medical emergency.
Cohen informed the audience and Jeff Lewis, an interior designer, that Barlow, who was slated to join him as a guest on the show, mistakenly used nail glue instead of eye drop and had to go to the emergency room immediately.
He then wished Barlow a quick recovery in a statement that followed.
How Did The Accident Happen?
In a chat with Page Six,Barlow disclosed that the accident happened while she was on the phone with one of her girlfriends.
She continued that she accidentally swapped the look-alike bottles for each other while cleaning her house.
The 45-year-old shared with the media outlet that she went to the emergency room immediately, and according to her doctor, she was diagnosed with a damaged cornea but would not lose her sight. She continued that there appeared to be four levels to the cornea, and hers went to level three.
Escaping By A Hair's Breathe
The "Vida Tequila" founder shared that the glue scratched her whole eyes and surgical tweezers had to be used to pull out the eyelashes. For proper healing, the doctor then placed "stem cell" over her cornea coupled with a soft contact lens for rapid recovery.
However, the accident prevented Barlow from making her appearance on "Watch What Happens Live."
"It's just an awful pain, and it looked so swollen," Barlo shared with the outlet. "It looked terrible, and I'm, like, I can't go on Watch What Happens Live." The media personality is on the mend and said she is feeling better.
