On Sunday, the “Beetlejuice” actor took to Instagram to share a video explaining why he was supporting Kamala Harris in a clip captioned, “Vote. Please.” The actor said that the border and the military are important issues, but to him, the environment was the most important issue because “you can’t undo it.”
He briefly mentioned Elon Musk and his “apparently great ideas” but explained that there was nothing currently available to solve air pollution or other environmental issues on a global scale. He said that one candidate “doesn’t have the beliefs” to enforce environmental protection, clearly referring to Donald Trump. He mentioned unification and the affordability of rent and gas as other important issues to consider in this election.
Followers Have Mixed Opinions Over Baldwin’s Post
Alec Baldwin has never been known to moderate the comments on his Instagram page and he didn’t seem ready to start now. “I really don't care what your opinion is. I'm voting for Trump,” one user wrote, which received over 100 replies and over 500 likes in two days. “I'm voting for Trump. Kamala will destroy our country,” another follower agreed.
“Don’t be fooled, Trump is a pawn. They know he is unfit but they are using him to get in the door,” wrote actress Norma Maldonado. “Should he win ( God help us) they will soon oust him, put Vance in as president ( why else would he have gone from never Trumper to VP pick) and the extreme right will take over🇺🇸. This is just an opinion and a hunch.”

On Tuesday, Alec Baldwin and his wife, Hilaria Baldwin, shared a selfie that showed their “I Voted” stickers. “Today is that day,” he wrote in the caption. “Make America Unafraid Again. Reasonable again. Kind Again. Admired again.” Again, comments on the post were mixed.
“Thank you, Alec, and hilarious! It’s good to have some sane celebrities! The funny thing is — if we get rid of MAGA, we could actually accomplish the literal idea in the Trump campaign slogan!” one fan commented.
“What a joke. America is not admired. They all laugh at Biden and Cameltoe. Make America America again. Trump 2024,” another follower wrote.
“Celebrities can promote whomever they want, but they don’t live in reality like the rest of us. So who cares what they think or who they are voting for. That’s my two cents,” wrote another user. The divisive comment received several replies.
“Maybe celebrities don’t live the lives we all do, but maybe, just maybe, they care about the landscape of the World that the rest of the people in the USA have to live in,” one fan shot back along with a heart emoji.
Taylor Swift Made Headlines For Her Kamala Harris Endorsement
Many celebrities have supported Kamala Harris in this year's election, but one of the biggest endorsements came from pop star Taylor Swift. On September 10, the "Shake It Off" singer took to Instagram to explain why Kamala Harris was getting her vote.
"I’m voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them. I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos," she wrote in her lengthy endorsement. "I was so heartened and impressed by her selection of running mate @timwalz, who has been standing up for LGBTQ+ rights, IVF, and a woman’s right to her own body for decades."

In the post, Swift explained that she decided to go public with her decision to vote for Harris due to misinformation being spread online. "Recently I was made aware that AI of ‘me’ falsely endorsing Donald Trump’s presidential run was posted to his site. It really conjured up my fears around AI, and the dangers of spreading misinformation," she explained. "It brought me to the conclusion that I need to be very transparent about my actual plans for this election as a voter. The simplest way to combat misinformation is with the truth."
"I’ve done my research, and I’ve made my choice. Your research is all yours to do, and the choice is yours to make," she added, ending her post "With love and hope."
