Marvel star Chris Pratt has been at the center of controversy multiple times throughout his career and now is facing heat again for his remarks on the election.

His comments in a recent article he wrote in which he chose to remain neutral have sparked heated debates and backlash online.

Unlike Chris Pratt, several of his Hollywood colleagues have already thrown their weight behind Kamala Harris or Donald Trump.

The "Guardians of the Galaxy" actor wrote an article for his mother-in-law Maria Shriver's website, Maria Shriver's Sunday Paper, where he maintained a neutral outlook on Tuesday's election, saying he wants to remind people that whichever side wins, "we are fellow countrymen."

In the op-ed, Pratt emphasized that he "sees things from both sides" and understands "that people's lives and rights are on the line."

However, regardless of who emerges the winner, Americans must embrace the lessons learned from sports and learn "how to win and lose with grace," the actor added.

"It's ok to take a moment to lick your wounds when you lose. Heck, go ahead and cry in the mirror," Pratt wrote. "But if we become too paralyzed by defeat or too pompous in victory, allegiance to our 'team' can blind us to the fact that we are fellow countrymen."

Pratt's article didn't sit well with several fans across the political divide, who took to X (formerly Twitter) to share their reactions.

A fan wrote, "Coward… if you're gonna tell us to take a stand on our own political beliefs but you don't do the same but want us to take your 'stupid political advice' - shut up and sit down."

Another person said, "By the way, celebrities have taken themselves down by believing movie fans care what they think. Elitist and inept at life."

A third X user commented, "Pratt showing that he's secretly a closet Trump voter that doesn't want to admit it publicly or he's just a boring 'moderate' that clearly has not got enough respect for the women in his life to stand against the guy trying to take their agency permanently is disappointing."

"While he does not endorse either candidate, and the site is from a former Democrat (now independent) Maria Shriver, it upsets me to see Chris Pratt play 'both sides have good ideas' with what is at stake for me," a fourth person commented.

The same person added, "My life is at stake, the bodily autonomy of my fellow trans siblings and people who can get pregnant in general, of black people and immigrants, of anyone who disagrees with Trump's policies, and watching Chris Pratt say 'I see both sides' and 'It's not about who wins and loses.'"

The Actor's Marvel Co-Stars Have Thrown Their Weight Behind Kamala Harris

Unlike Pratt, several of his Hollywood and Marvel Cinematic Universe colleagues have already thrown their weight behind either Harris or Trump.

In a video making the rounds online, Pratt's fellow "Avengers" co-stars, Scarlett Johannsson, Robert Downey Jr, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Paul Bettany, Don Cheadle and Danai Gurira, endorsed Harris.

When the video was released, fans noted that Pratt was absent, making some people wonder at the time if he opted not to join the actors due to him being a Trump supporter.

However, with his new op-ed, Pratt has seemingly distanced himself from both Trump and Harris and instead called for unity.

Pratt's father-in-law, Arnold Schwarzenegger, a one-time California governor with the Republican Party, also penned a lengthy post on X (formerly Twitter) where he publicly endorsed Harris for president.

"I will always be an American before I am a Republican," Schwarzenegger wrote. "That's why, this week, I am voting for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz."

The "Terminator" actor said that a second presidential term for Trump "will just be four more years of bullsh-t with no results that make us angrier and angrier, more divided, and more hateful."

"We need to close the door on this chapter of American history, and I know that former President Trump won't do that. He will divide, he will insult, he will find new ways to be more un-American than he already has been, and we, the people, will get nothing but more anger," he added.

The election comes as Pratt and his wife, Katherine Schwarzenegger, Arnold's daughter, are expecting their third child together.

During a recent episode of "Today," Pratt sat down with his co-star Millie Bobbie Brown to discuss their new Netflix film "The Electric State," but took a moment to share details about the incoming addition to his family.

"You don't have to tell us, obviously, but do you know if it's a boy or a girl?" the show's co-host Savannah Guthrie asked Pratt, per People Magazine.

"We don't know!" he replied. "I've got my son Jack and then the two girls. So we don't know, we'll wait. We wait, and we're surprised on the day."

Brown chimed in, "And he's not lying, I can tell. He really doesn't know."

Pratt, however, explained that he "has a feeling" about the sex, sharing, "I have an intuition, but I won't say what it is in case I'm wrong and then the child sees this piece, and that's confusing to them. So one day, child, you'll know I knew. I knew exactly who you were."

The actor shares his 12-year-old son with ex-wife Anna Faris. He and Katherine share daughters, Eloise and Lyla.
