On November 1, the 37-year-old posted a video on Instagram sharing her story, explaining how her doctor had recommended Ozempic as a weight-loss solution.

In the video, Silva detailed how the medication made her feel increasingly unwell, describing symptoms so severe that she felt as if she was "passing out."

“How low did Ozempic go?” the actress wrote in her post. “Do you know who recommended it to me: A doctor [eye emoji], and I tell you I put it on once to try it, because they talked about it so much and I ended up in the hospital. My sugar dropped so much that I had to call the children's daddy when I felt like I was passing out & my kids were asleep next to me.”

She added, “Thank God nothing happened, but I felt like I was dying and ended up at the clinic in a wheelchair."

The actress’s candid post comes amid a surge in the popularity of Ozempic and similar drugs, which, though FDA-approved for treating type 2 diabetes, have become widely sought after for their weight-loss effects.
