In one of the three videos, Ford acknowledged that for many voters, supporting a Democratic candidate may feel unprecedented.

“For a lot of people, this might be the first time they’re voting for someone who doesn’t have an ‘R’ next to their name,” he noted, per The Hollywood Reporter, “because they know this really matters.”

“The truth is this, Kamala Harris will protect your right to disagree with her about policies or ideas, and then, as we have done for centuries, we’ll debate them. We’ll work on them together, and we’ll move forward,” he added.

Harrison Ford Makes Rare Presidential Endorsement

The actor's endorsement marks a rare public political statement from Ford, who tends to keep his personal views out of the spotlight.

“When dozens of former members of the Trump administration are sounding alarms, saying, ‘For God’s sake, don’t do this again,’ you have to pay attention,” Ford said in another video. “They’re telling us something important. These aren’t soft people. They’re governors, generals, standing up against the leader of the party they spent their lives advocating for.”

In another video, the "Indiana Jones" star spoke candidly about his own political philosophy. While he doesn’t agree with Harris and Walz on every issue, he emphasizes his respect for their integrity and commitment to upholding democratic values.

“These two people believe in the rule of law,” he said, underscoring that his support is based not on perfection, but on principles. “They believe in science. They believe that when you govern, you do so for all Americans. They believe that we are in this together. These are ideas I believe in. These are people I can get behind.”

In a powerful moment, Ford expressed his own frustrations with the state of the country, saying he is “frustrated about a lot of things in this country,” like he’s “sure” others are too.

He continued, “But the other guy, he spent four years turning us against each other while embracing dictators and tyrants around the world. That’s not who we are. We don’t need to make America great again. Come on, we are great, but what we need is to work together again. What we need is a president who works for all of us again.”

In the third video, Ford addressed voters who are still undecided as the November 5 presidential election approaches.

“If you’re still on the fence, here’s a good thing to look at: Who’s trying to scare you into voting for them? Who’s trying to make you look at your neighbors with anger, suspicion, hatred, and who is encouraging you to build something with the people around you?” the "Star Wars" actor said. “It would be really nice to move forward.”

Ford’s endorsement comes after many other celebrities endorsed the current Vice President, including Taylor Swift, Octavia Spencer, Jennifer Lopez, Michael Keaton, Kelly Rowland, Beyoncé, George Clooney, Bruce Springsteen, Jamie Lee Curtis, and more.
