Jennifer Lopez Rips Trump's MSG Rally, Hopes For 'Hollywood Ending' For Kamala Harris

Jennifer Lopez has criticized a racist joke aimed at Puerto Ricans by a comedian supporting Donald Trump.

The actress stated during her speech at Kamala Harris' rally that the comedian's remark was insulting to all Latinos, herself included, as she is of Puerto Rican heritage.

She also encouraged people to vote for Harris and confirmed that she would vote for the vice president.

Jennifer Lopez had previously taken to her Instagram page to urge her fans to ensure they are registered and intend to vote during the election.

During Kamala Harris' rally at the Craig Ranch Amphitheatre in Las Vegas, Lopez reacted to a dig by a MAGA comic that was aimed at Puerto Ricans.

The comic, Tony Hinchcliffe, had appeared at a rally for Trump in New York, where he described Puerto Rico as a floating piece of garbage.

In response, Lopez said that the remark was very offensive and that it was one that every human would find distasteful.

"It wasn't just Puerto Ricans who were offended that day; it was every Latino in this country," Lopez said of the remark, per the Daily Mail. "It was humanity and anyone of decent character."

The actress also discussed how Puerto Ricans are part of the United States and mentioned that she hails from the Island.

“I am Puerto Rican,” Lopez added. And yes, I was born here, and we are Americans. You can't even spell American without Rican."

In her speech, Lopez also urged voters to support Harris while highlighting that her policies are about bettering the lives of citizens.

"Elections are about choosing leaders to support them - not one that stands in the way," Lopez shared. "It's about helping you get ahead. It's about you and you and you and you and you. It's about us. All of us. No matter what we look like, who we love or who we worship, or where we're from."

She also mentioned that Trump has "consistently worked to divide" citizens and referenced how her personal and career experiences have helped her conclude Harris deserves her vote.

Lopez added, "I like Hollywood endings. And I like when the good guy, or in this case, the good girl, wins. And with an understanding of our past and a faith in our future, I will be casting my ballot for Kamala Harris for president of the United States."

Lopez, who was dressed in a fitting dark brown gown for her speech, also posted highlights of her speech on her Instagram page. Fans quickly reacted to her speech, describing the actress as "fearless" and "strong."

One fan wrote, "The most powerful voice!!! Proud of you!" while another commented, "I'm so proud of this woman."

Another individual remarked, "The Puerto Rican woman I love most in the world, and I'm proud of you."

One more person wrote, "You looked beautiful and wonderful. And your speech was amazing and inspiring."

Last month, Lopez took to her Instagram page to encourage her 250 million fans to vote right.

She said, "When we all vote, we can determine the direction of our country and create a better future for our communities. Your vote is your voice and your power, and our voices are louder together."

The actress also reminded fans of the importance of registering to vote and included a link so they could confirm their registration.

In her caption, Lopez reinforced her message while also highlighting her involvement with When We All Vote—a nonpartisan initiative dedicated to educating voters and promoting higher voter turnout.

She wrote, "Let's get loud and make sure every voice is heard this election. As a Co-chair of @WhenWeAllVote, I'm proud of the work we're doing to change the culture around voting and increase participation in every election."

Lopez's endorsement of Harris comes after she filed for divorce from actor Ben Affleck. The pair were married for two years but finally separated after months of speculation.

In a conversation with Interview Magazine, the "Monster-in-Law star admitted that the breakup was "f-cking hard." She also shared that being alone after spending decades in multiple relationships has been an emotional rollercoaster.

"It feels lonely, unfamiliar, scary. It feels sad. It feels desperate," the actress shared.

On the upside, she has now begun to see the positive side of her situation, which will help her build a better version of herself.

She added, "When you sit in those feelings and go, 'These things are not going to kill me, it's like actually, I am capable of joy and happiness all by myself."
