A New York judge has ordered one of Sean "Diddy" Combs' accusers to reveal their identity or else their lawsuit will be dismissed.
The judge gave the ruling, noting that the alleged victim had accused a famous person of sexually assaulting her 20 years ago while identifying as "Jane Doe."
In Jane Doe's filing, she claimed that Sean "Diddy" Combs locked her and a friend up in a room when she was 19 and threatened to kill them if they refused to give him oral sex.
Alleged Diddy Victim Must Reveal Her Identity
According to Page Six, Judge Mary Kay Vyskocil has ruled that a woman who identified herself in her lawsuit filing as "Jane Doe" must reveal her true identity or risk the dismissal of her lawsuit against Diddy.
Vyskocil reportedly noted that she understands that the alleged victim has "an interest in keeping her identity private given the sensitive nature of her allegations" and "the potential for public scrutiny of her personal life."
The judge, however, noted that Jane Doe has decided as an adult "to file a lawsuit in which she accuses a famous person of engaging in heinous conduct approximately twenty years ago and, further, accuses a number of businesses of complicity in that alleged conduct."
For this reason, the judge believes that Doe "has not carried her burden to show that she is entitled to" being anonymous and has until November 13 to refile her lawsuit with her real name.
Jane Doe Accused The Rapper Of Raping Her When She Was 19
The Diddy accuser, who was ordered to reveal her identity, is represented by lawyer Tony Buzbee, who also represents 120 other alleged victims.
In her scathing lawsuit against the rapper, Jane Doe claimed that she was just 19 years old in 2004 and a college freshman when she was invited to a photo shoot to promote "Da Band," a group signed by Diddy's label.
According to the woman, after the shoot, she and a friend who accompanied her were invited to Diddy's hotel "for a more exclusive party."
On getting to the rapper's hotel suite, the woman and her friend were taken to another room by bodyguards who locked them in and said, "You know what you are here for."
Diddy then joined the college students in the room, where he allegedly forced them to take alcohol and cocaine before commanding one of the women to perform oral sex on him, "or else he would have them both killed."
According to the New York Post, the lawsuit stated that Diddy "fondled, molested and ultimately raped" the plaintiff "while she was begging him to stop."
The woman's friend escaped the rapper at some point when one of the guards opened the door, while the plaintiff got away after Diddy left the room.
The Lawsuits Have Led To The Release Of Photos By Diddy's Alleged Victims
Several photos were included in the lawsuits filed by Diddy's accusers, depicting the places they claimed their alleged abuse took place.
As part of the filings, photos of the rapper were submitted in which he could be seen having a drinking session with a couple of guests.
The shot was reportedly taken by one of Diddy's male victims moments before he was led to a private room and fondled and groped by the music producer.
The identity of the other individuals in the image remains unclear, as almost all were blacked out for reasons unknown. However, Diddy's face was left clear, and he appeared to be glaring at the victim who took the snapshot.
Another lawsuit featured photos of a small white plastic container that looked like a test tube.
According to the court documents, the mysterious item was used by the rapper's staff to slip the date-rape drug GHB into the drinks of female attendees at his infamous parties.
Diddy's Lawyers Have Called Out Tony Buzzbee
Buzbee, the lawyer who represents 120 Diddy accusers, has since been slammed by the rapper's lawyers for the allegations, which they labeled "reckless" and "defamatory."
"As Mr. Combs' legal team has emphasized, he cannot address every meritless allegation in what has become a reckless media circus," attorney Erica Wolff told Page Six.
"That said, Mr. Combs emphatically and categorically denies as false and defamatory any claim that he sexually abused anyone, including minors," Wolff continued. "He looks forward to proving his innocence and vindicating himself in court if and when claims are filed and served, where the truth will be established based on evidence, not speculation."
The Rapper Has Maintained His Innocence
Diddy was arrested on September 16 in New York after a grand jury indictment and was charged with sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution.
He is currently locked up at the Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center and has been denied bail multiple times since his arrest as authorities consider him a flight risk.
However, Diddy maintains his innocence and is reportedly not interested in taking a plea deal if one is presented to him.
"It's up to Mr. Combs, and I don't see it happening because he believes he's innocent," Diddy's attorney, Marc Agnifilo, told TMZ. "And what's more, he believes that he needs to stand up not just for himself — for his family and for everybody who's been targeted by the federal government."
"He feels an obligation to those people to say, 'You know what, maybe I can break the model. Maybe I can show the world that a Black man can win in federal court,'" Agnifilo added. "And I think he probably is the only person I know of who might be able to actually accomplish that goal."
