Police in Illinois are on the hunt for a fugitive wanted for violating the terms of his probation. On the surface, that’s nothing spectacular. But when the Galesburg Police Department posted a photo of the man in question, people noticed something very interesting about the criminal.
The man’s name is Todd W. Barrick Jr., and commenters correctly pointed out that he looks a lot like Bryan Cranston’s character, Walter White, from AMC’s “Breaking Bad.”
“Is that you, Walter White?,” one commenter asked. “Heisenberg is Alive!!,” another exclaimed. “Say my name!,” a third replied.
Beyond just the similar looks — the bald head, the goatee, the glasses — Barrick, Jr. is listed at 50 years-old, which is the same age as Walter White in the TV show.
This story is extra timely right now. Netflix is set to release El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie on October 11. The film is written and directed by “Breaking Bad” creator Vince Gilligan and stars Aaron Paul as he reprises his role of Jesse Pinkman.
The movie picks up where the series leftoff, with Pinkman driving off into the sunset after White’s death. It’s unclear what “Breaking Bad” characters will make an appearance, but we know Charles Baker will return to play Skinny Pete.
