Todd Chrisley is getting slammed over his 9/11 post where he seemingly stated we should “forgive” those who committed the 2001 terrorist attacks.
The “Chrisley Knows Best” star shared his thoughts on that devastating day 18 years ago with a tribute post on Wednesday.
Todd’s post read “Remember the Heroes” with the date of the tragedy below.
The Chrisley patriarch wrote, “Forgive, BUT NEVER FORGET” and fans are going off.
His post quickly flooded with angry comments, some of those who lost precious loved ones in the attacks.
“Forgive? No I will not forgive the monsters who murdered my brother and thousands of others,” one person wrote.
“Todd, it is hardly possible to forgive the horror that was 9/11,” added another.
Other fans were astonished Todd would even suggest such a thing.
“Forgive?” wrote several people. “I’m confused about the whole forgive part,” added another.
Todd’s not the only Chrisley family member to share a tribute on 9/11.
His wife, Julie Chrisley, shared one last night.
Her’s read, “18 years ago today, 3,000 people would be spending their last night with their family. Think about that for a second.”
Julie added her own feelings about the words saying they “made me stop in my tracks.”
Unlike her husband, she’s getting praised for her insightful post with several followers sharing their stories from that tragic day.
Todd and Julie Chrisley have had a rough month.
As The Blast reported, the famous duo have been indicted on 11 counts related bank fraud.
According to the federal sentencing guidelines, the reality stars are facing up to 30 years in prison if convicted.
On top of the legal issues, the family has been dealing with fights in the family, as well as a scary suicide attempt by Todd’s oldest son, Kyle.
