WWE legend Ric Flair's stepson, Sebastian Kidder, reportedly sent a text message before his untimely death.
A new report about what led up to the 24-year-old's passing suggests he had contacted his biological father shortly before he died by suicide from a gunshot.
Ric Flair reacted to the death of Sebastian Kidder with an emotional tribute on his Instagram yesterday.
Ric Flair's Late Stepson's Last Text Before His Death
The biological father, named Paul, reportedly got a message from the Kidder before his tragic passing. A spokesperson for Gwinnett County Police Department, Ryan Winderweedle, stated that Paul received the message around 4 p.m. just before he committed suicide.
Winderweedle shared that Paul called emergency services immediately after he received the text, but it was too late as Kidder was discovered dead at the family home.
The spokesman revealed that investigators found a note in an envelope on the table in the victim's bedroom. The murder weapon, confirmed by TMZ to be a Springfield Armory handgun, was also recovered at the scene of the suicide incident.

Kidder's passing left a painful mark in the hearts of his family and loved ones, who have begun voicing their grief. His mom and Flair's ex-wife Wendy Barlow shared that she was "devastated and shocked" to learn of her son's death. On her Instagram page, she shared a photo of Kidder with a caption that read:
"There are no words to express the pain I am feeling from the loss of my Baby @sebastianonthemic Mommy Loves you [love and prayer hand emoji]."
Flair himself also uploaded a lengthy post on his Instagram, paying his last respects to the late upcoming musician. The legendary wrestler's tribute partly read:
"After Hearing The News Of Sebastian's Passing. I Can Only Imagine What Wendy @thewonderouswendy & Paul Are Going Through Having Lost A Son Approximately The Same Age In 2013. I Know The Pain Of Your Loss Will Be With You The Rest Of Your Life."

The Blast noted that the WWE Hall of Famer reflected on his parenting choices while his son Reid was alive in the tribute. He shared that he still thinks of his late son, adding:
"You Can't Blame Yourselves As I Blamed Myself For Making Reid My Best Friend Instead Of Being A Good Parent. Sometimes We Get So Close To Our Kids, We Forget That They Need Us In So Many Different Ways."
Despite his regret, the memories were too profound to ignore. Flair admitted, "I'm So Thankful For The Time I Had With Sebastian. I Have So Many Great Memories & Bonding Time With Him As He Grew Up! He Stood Tall By His Mother Along With The Whole Family- Sophia, Paris, And Summer, While I Was Dying."
He concluded his tribute by describing the late Kidder as "unselfish," "multitalented," and "a huge success," and also wrote, "I'm So Sorry! Wendy, Please Stay Strong & Don't Let Anything Deter You From All Your Successful Endeavors You Have In Place In The Future. God Bless You Both! Rest In Peace Sebastian!"
The WWE Former World Champion Lost His Son To Substance Abuse In 2013
Sebastian's death is not Flair's first time mourning the tragic loss of a child or loved one. Eleven years ago, on March 29, 2013, his son, Reid, was discovered dead in a hotel room in Charlotte, North Carolina, at 25 years old.
The late Reid reportedly died from a drug overdose consisting of heroin and a prescription medicine. The young Flair seemingly succumbed to a tough battle with drug addiction, which began a few years leading to his death.
Reid was also arrested once in 2009 over possession of harmful substances. He struggled with personal and legal struggles coupled with his addiction problems before his death.
On the bright side, the late Reid was a budding wrestler who traveled regularly with his pro wrestler dad on tours, hoping to learn the ropes of professional wrestling from him.
Ric Flair's Children Hold A Special Place On His Greatest Achievement List
The wrestling icon is father to four children from two marriages, including the late Reid, another son, David, and two daughters, Charlotte and Megam. In an interview three years ago, the star admitted:
"It's funny because my biggest thrill in life was my youngest kids. I was traveling all the time when my older ones were in high school and college and that, and I built them trophy cases. They both were phenomenal amateur athletes, and I built a trophy case. I had fun doing that."
Charlotte has filled her father's big shoes in the WWE sphere by winning 18 championship belts and being named one of the best female wrestlers in the game.
Flair was notably by her side when she won her first championship at WrestleMania and has made several appearances by her side in matches.
His son David also had a short career as a wrestler. He quit in 2004 after winning the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship and World Tag Team Championship.
