'Sister Wives' Janelle Brown Slams Kody For 'Pretense For 20 Years' And 'Amnesia'

Janelle Brown is no longer holding back, as she unleashes her frustration with Kody Brown on his version of events of their marriage.

This heated revelation comes amid Kody's attempts to assign blame for his fractured family, with recent comments accusing his children of betrayal.

Meri and Janelle Brown are not letting Kody Brown off easily, as his claims about their time together enrage the estranged women.

In a candid moment on the Sunday, Oct. 27 episode of "Sister Wives," Janelle did not hold back, aiming at Kody's selective memory and recent comments about their relationship. 

As the family's patriarch discussed his split from Meri, he noted that Janelle was "not interested in a relationship," seemingly dismissing his role in unraveling their marriage. In response, Janelle voiced her frustration, calling out Kody's claim that he never truly loved his three ex-wives.

Reflecting on their past, Janelle remarked, "I just think that he has amnesia when it comes to the past because you just can't keep up that kind of pretense for 20 years." According to PEOPLE, she added firmly, "He can say whatever he wants. It's fine, because I just don't care anymore."

The recent TLC episode took viewers deep into Meri and Kody's turbulent history, with the former couple openly discussing the breakdown of their marriage. The father-of-eighteen's claim that he "never loved" Meri—or his other ex-wives, Janelle and Christine— was a statement that she could not ignore.

In a revealing confessional, Meri expressed frustration with his repeated narrative, saying, "This is Kody's current theme, and that is that he never loved me or Janelle or Christine."

She added pointedly, "It's getting to the point that it's annoying. Gosh, Kody, just man up and be honest." Despite the tension, the mother-of-one maintained a friendly demeanor throughout the episode, even sharing jokes with Kody. 

Reflecting on their past, she acknowledged that she had given everything to their relationship and would still try to make it work, but noted, "It's not something that is comfortable for him or right for him or good for him, and that's not fair to either of us."

The drama surrounding Kody and his family shows no signs of letting up as he shifts the blame onto everyone else. Previously, he pointed fingers at his older children, claiming their actions led to the breakdown of their relationships.

The 55-year-old sparked controversy by accusing his kids of "betrayal," which only heightened the tension with his current wife, Robyn. 

The Blast reported that Kody expressed his hurt over their actions during a particularly tense episode. Robyn urged him to reconnect with his children, emphasizing the importance of not abandoning his parental duties.

However, visibly frustrated, Kody stood his ground, asserting, "I'm not gonna do it with a rejection every single time. I'm not abandoning my children. They have betrayed me."

He elaborated on his feelings in a confessional, stating, "I'm not gonna sit here and fight with you, have a rift in our relationship caused by these people who have created the biggest rift in my life."

Tensions boiled over between Kody and his last remaining wife as the couple faced the ongoing strain between him and his older children.

Things reportedly got so tense that Kody left the conversation abruptly after emotions flared, unable to contain his frustration over the topic of his fractured family ties.

Though he eventually returned, the argument resumed, focusing on his belief that relationships need to be mutual—even with his children.

When Robyn pushed back, reminding him, "But they're kids!" Kody was quick to clarify, "No, they're adults," underscoring his view that the responsibility for reconciliation falls on both sides.

Janelle's recent criticism of Kody marks yet another instance of her confronting him. She has previously voiced her concerns regarding the troubled relationships he has not only with his children but also with his grandchildren.

The mother-of-six specifically pointed out Kody's glaring absence in the lives of her daughter Madison's three children—Axel, Evie, and Josephine. 

While Janelle's disappointment was evident, Kody countered her concerns, calling her expectations "unrealistic" before noting that Madison lived far away for frequent visits.

With both sides openly pointing fingers, the divide within the family shows no sign of healing soon.
