The pop star's sister informed the public of her baby's passing in a short statement posted on her Instagram page yesterday. The words on the post read:
"On the evening of September 27th, after an emergency c-section, Ryan and I held our little girl for the first and last time. Thank you, Xiomara, for making us parents to the most perfect angel in heaven. Mommy and Daddy love you sweet girl."
The post has received over 70,000 likes with thousands of comments from her friends and families, including Demi and her mother, Diana De La Garza. Demi wrote:
"I love you so much Xiomara. An angel in every sense of the word. I'll be your auntie forever."
Her comment gathered numerous replies from well-wishers commiserating with her family, as one wrote, "I'm so sorry be strong for your sister she needs you more than ever prayer to your family." Another person commented, "I'm so sad for Madd, for your mother, for you and your whole family."
Xiomara's grandmother also expressed her grief in the comments. She shared her experience the first time meeting her angel grandchild, stating:
"They say when you meet your Grandchild for the first time, you feel a love that you can't explain in words. I felt that love and I will feel it til the day I die."

The Disney Star Got Candid About Body Image In New Documentary
The star's new documentary dropped on Hulu Network a few weeks back. The project features Demi stating her struggles with body image, addiction, and mental health.
The Blast shared that the musician was diagnosed with Bulimia years ago—an eating disorder where the patient binge eats and then purges.
Demi confessed in the documentary that being on camera makes her a little uncomfortable and hyper-aware of her body issues. On how fame and self-esteem struggles triggered her unhealthy feeding pattern and sensitivity to her body image, the actress explained:
"I didn't realize that [fame] would have such a negative impact on my mental health. And unfortunately, sometimes that looks explosive. Like an incident where you punch your backup dancer on an airplane, or you overdose from heroin."
The influencer's body image issues also contributed to her self-harm habits and addiction, which she has been vocal about over the years.
Demi Experienced Bullying As A Teenager
Coupled with her self-image issues, Demi also put up with a lot of bullying during her teenage years, mainly due to her being a famous child star. According to her, "The popular girls started writing in the bathrooms, 'Demi is a whore.' All these nasty things."
She added that they signed a suicide petition telling her to kill herself with so many signatures agreeing to it. The singer disclosed that the bullying did not deter her from living her dream. Instead, it fueled her motivation to pursue the life she desired actively, as it would eventually get her out of that toxic environment.
However, the years of bullying still put a strain on her mental health, leading to her self-esteem issues and her struggles with bulimia and self-harm.
The 'Heart Attack' Singer Is Now A Mental Health Activist
Demi's experience with bullying spurred her very active life as a mental health advocate who constantly uses her platform to combat bullying and provide support to victims. She recalled being 18 when she went in for her very first treatment for mental health issues. In her words:
"I went from my eating disorder and I went for self-harm and emotional issues. And when I came out with that experience, I was faced with the decision of either 'keep your mouth shut and not say anything' or 'share your experience strength and hope with another person in hopes that it affects them in a positive way."
Now, Demi wants victims of mental health troubles, and all she struggles with are not alone. "I want them to know that talking to people and asking for help is more than OK and is absolutely what you should do," the star noted.

The "Camp Rock" star could not have done it all without support from her family members, including her three sisters. Demi has two older sisters, Amber and Dallas, and a younger sister, Madison, born in 2001. In 2021, the singer gushed about their cordial relationship, saying:
"We are such a close family and really, really, really supportive. That's one thing that I can say that I thank God for every single day about my family is the fact that we are some of the toughest people."
Like Demi, her sisters Dallas and Madison have also appeared in movies. The former appeared on Disney Channel, including "Wizards of Waverly Place" and "Sonny with a Chance." The latter also featured in the monster hit TV series "Desperate Housewives."
Prayers up for Demi Lovato's sister and her family as they navigate this difficult time!
