After an exciting history breaking moment playing with his father on the LA Lakers, Bronny James will begin splitting his time between the NBA and the G League when their season begins on November 9.

ESPN reported on Friday that after this upcoming five-game trip with the Lakers, Bronny, son of NBA star LeBron James, will start splitting his time between the Lakers and the South Bay Lakers.

When the G League's season begins in about a week, Bronny will begin splitting his time between the NBA and G League. Despite the plan set in place, Lakers coach JJ Redick said it could change.

"Our plans are always fluid based on real time. I believe we have two guys dressing today that as of yesterday were not dressing out," he said on Friday before the Lakers vs. Phoenix Suns game. "The plan for Bronny to move between the Lakers and South Bay has always been the plan since day one. [General manager] Rob [Pelinka] and I have talked about that. LeBron's talked about that."

Bronny was the 55th overall pick in this year's NBA Draft, and it's nothing new that most second-round picks spend some time in the G League with a two-way contract during their rookie season. Bronny is no different.

On Media Day, LeBron talked about plans for his son's rookie season in the league.

"Just [looking forward to] seeing him continue to grow as a basketball player no matter if it's here with us or if it's down with the G League team and him continuing to get better and better and better," LeBron said.

"His job is to put the work in and get better and better, just like the rest of us. And we want to hold him accountable, and he's going to hold us accountable. And if we all do that, we all get better, because we're all one team. We're a reflection of South Bay; South Bay is a reflection of us."

Bronny James Could Potentially Make More Money Off The Court

Bronny will be on the upcoming five-game road trip, but after that, he will "begin his shuttle between the NBA and the G League," according to Shams Charania, ESPN NBA Insider. This road trip includes a "momentous game potentially on Wednesday in Cleveland, a homecoming for LeBron James and Bronny James."

Charania also said that Bronny could potentially make more money from "off-court deals in marketing" and just be an influencer, but Bronny wants to play basketball.

Of course, fans have their take on the situation and shared them in the comment section of Charania's Instagram post.

"Lebron wants him to be an NBA player, there, fixed it," one person wrote. Another added, "Who in their right mind would cancel an NBA career to be an influencer?" One other fan wrote, "Money isn’t everything…maybe he’s just doing things his way!!!! Instead of chasing the bag…don’t forget he already has the bag."

LeBron And Bronny James Made NBA History

NBA history was made earlier this week when LeBron, 39, and Bronny, 20, played together in a regular season game. It's the first time a father and son ever played at the same time in the league.

The father/son duo also played a few minutes together during a Lakers preseason game, and the proud papa shared his take on the experience.

"For a father, it means everything," LeBron told ESPN after the historic moment. "For someone who didn't have that growing up, to be able to have that influence on your kids and have influence on your son, be able to have moments with your son, and ultimately to be able to work with your son, I think that's one of the greatest things that a father can ever hope for or wish for."

LeBron is still in his feels, and rightfully so, about the exciting experience of playing with his son. He recently took to Instagram to share some more iconic flicks from their first game together.

"Hollywood couldn’t write a better script so we helped them write it and brought it to them. HISTORY WAS MADE!" he captioned his carousel of photos, of what Nike Basketball called "Bronumental" in the comments.

It Was Predicted That The Father And Son Would Play Together Early In The Lakers Season Opener

On an episode of "SportsCenter" before the Lakers season opener, Charania said it was "very likely" that the father and son would be on the court together early in the game.

"I'm told it's very likely, and the Lakers plan that LeBron James, Bronny James make history as the first father-son duo to be on the court at the same time, and likely to come early in the game as long as it's competitive and it's a flowing game as far as where the Lakers are at early on in that game," Charania said.

"I think that's going to be very important. The Lakers want to allow this to happen during the flow of the game in a competitive environment. JJ Redick said on Monday that there is no plan finalized yet for both of them to play together on opening night, but this is something the Lakers have spent a lot of time discussing internally. It's never happened in the NBA before, may never, likely happen again. You think about LeBron James in year 22, he's really spoken this into existence. He's been talking about it for the last several years and now it is on the cusp of happening as soon as tonight."

Fans Shared Their Thoughts On Social Media About LeBron And Bronny James Playing Together

The history-breaking moment has been talked about since way before Bronny was even drafted in the league, but now that it's happened, many NBA fans are sharing their thoughts on social media.

"Glad I was alive to see this," one person said. Another added, "What a Moment." There were some other positive thoughts shared, but plenty of negative comments as well.

LeBron recently shared that while there's a lot of criticism out there, Bronny "doesn't care."

"I don't know if people really understand Bronny. He doesn't care," LeBron told ESPN's Dave McMenamin. "I actually cared a little bit when I came in [as a rookie]. I wanted people to like me and some of the things that people were saying about me kind of bothered me early on in my career. I let it get to me. Bronny doesn't give a f---."

The proud dad also said that his son "works his tail off" and when he's done working, he plays video games and "doesn't even listen to that stuff."

"He's like the coolest," he continued. "He's like the complete opposite of his dad. His dad will say something. Bro does not care. Everything that's being said about him, he really does not care."
