Dodgers fans were over the moon after witnessing Freeman make MLB history as the first player to hit a walk-off grand slam in a World Series game, including Lakers legend Magic Johnson.

“Freddie Freeman with the first walk-off grand slam in World Series history to carry us to a 1-0 start! Wow!!” Johnson declared. “That was one of the most exciting World Series games I’ve seen or been a part of! It left me breathless, and it was just Game 1!“

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts echoed the excitement, telling reporters post-game, “It might be the greatest baseball moment I’ve ever witnessed. Just that swing, you knew it was gone. Pure elation. You don’t see teams celebrate after a game with a walk-off like that, but it was certainly warranted.”
