Dave Portnoy Recalls Zach Bryan Banning Him From His Concert Amid Breakup: 'Pretty F—ing Insane'

Dave Portnoy is laying bare what made him a Zach Bryan hater and it has Brianna LaPaglia right in the middle of it.

The social media influencer detailed his first-hand experience with the country music artist during his now-defunct relationship with the 25-year-old.

Zach Bryan and Brianna LaPaglia called it quits last week after one year of becoming an item.

Portnoy described not one but two incidents that landed Bryan in his black book for life. He recalled the first event happening at The Chelsea in The Cosmopolitan hotel, where the country was billed to perform to kick off 2024 Super Bowl week in Las Vegas.

"Me and Josh Richards were at the Super Bowl, and Zach Bryan is performing. We were going to meet Bri, and I'm texting her, and she's not getting back to me," the Barstool Sports founder explained.

He continued that LaPaglia called him shortly after to inform him Bryan had banned him from attending the concert. On why he was denied entry, the businessman explained on "The Unnamed Show" podcast that Bryan had stumbled on a clip from the "BFFs" podcast.

In the clip, Portnoy, Josh Richards, and LaPaglia all joked about her having a "revolving door of boyfriends." According to Page Six, the businessman revealed that the podcast actually caused the first serious argument between the couple at that time.

"I never had great vibes," he said before adding, "I think banning me from a concert over a joke is pretty f—g insane."

The bad blood between the duo did not end there. Another showdown happened when LaPaglia attended the award show in January without her now-former boo.

He shared that the podcaster was being interviewed on the red carpet and was asked to name someone she was excited to meet. Portnoy recalled LaPaglia's response to the interviewer, stating:

"It was some famous, awesome-looking celebrity, and she was like, 'Oh, he's good looking, he looks nice."

The response did not sit well with Bryan, who, according to Portnoy, unfollowed LaPaglia and blocked "BFFs" official Instagram account. Portnoy also noted that although he never expressed his dislike for the country singer, his now ex-girlfriend knew he was not a fan of his.

Portnoy's story came shortly after Bryan played a snippet from what seems to be an upcoming single on his Instagram. The Blast noted that the video was a minute-long view of him playing a piece on the piano with his back turned to the camera as he sang aloud.

"Recall when we, went to Rockaway Beach, summer heat in eastern Queens, and a subway ride," the singer added in the caption.

Bryan and his podcaster ex-girlfriend have processed the grief of their failed relationship on social media, with LaPaglia reacting to the news of her breakup on two separate platforms.

Before Bryan's melodious clip came after LaPaglia posted an emotional 3-minute-long video on her YouTube page amid her split.

The content creator appeared crushed as she sat on the bathroom floor and explained to her viewers that she had no idea Bryan would make their situation public so soon.

LaPaglia expressed her shock at the multiple messages she got since his post went out and admitted there were no prior conversations between them. "Do you see the swelling on my face? I've been crying for like five days straight," she added.

The YouTuber noted that she was embarrassed by Bryan's action because it seemed as if the musician used and dumped her. LaPaglia stated that she had wanted to deal with the issue privately and heal first like humans do.

"I wanted to just handle this as a human first and now it's not that. I'm just asking if you guys can please... respect my privacy right now, and when I'm ready to talk about everything that happened, I will," she explained.

The 28-year-old confirmed the end of their romantic journey with a lengthy post on his Instagram story last week. However, he did not forget to look out for the podcaster as he urged the fans to respect her privacy and extend the same grace to him.

Bryan stressed that he has nothing but love and respect for the influencer despite their current situation. He added, "She has loved me unconditionally for a very long time andfor that I'll always thank her."

The singer explained that the breakup was necessary to help him move on from his struggles and very tumultuous year.
