"Hi my name is Jeremy Jackson Dunn and I struggle with mental health. #Depression , #anxiety , #PTSD, #manic-depressive , #bipolar all I have experienced or battled. As I write this I’m sure there will be judgment from some but that judgment is the very reason I must write this! #breakingthestigmaofmentalhealth must happen and here is why," he began.

Jeremy describes how the disease can cause mood swings and changes in his mental state day to day.
"Monday I might be eager to have a wonderful day full of blessings and fun totally encouraged but come Tuesday and out of the blue BAM depression and anxiety have me believing nobody likes me , I’m an idiot and don’t even bothered leaving the house again EVER. Yes ME! The guy people look up to and reach out to for positivity, guidance and motivation FEELS LIKE A USLESS DIRTY PIECE OF TRASH SOMETIMES," he explained.
In the brave posting, Jackson reaches out to those who may see their own life in his description and offers up help on how he deals with the negativity in his own life.

"Why am I coming forth with this #Truth ??" he asks.
"Cuz so so so many other people are not just being HIT with this type of temporary torment and lies THEY ARE LIVING IN IT!!! Living in the lie and believing the darkness! I consider myself abundantly fortunate. I have a family who cares for and loves me , I have wonderful friends who believe in and encourage me , a Spiritual Connection/Relationship that surpasses understanding , I take part in health and fitness activities I read books to improve ones self and help others, I partake in support groups and attend regularly . WHY DO I DO ALL THIS?!?!?! Because without help I have no chance at any quality of life. Simply put , I will bury me!! I am my biggest enemy. Now my heart aches for those out there struggling the same struggle without the above solution and help!! “You don’t know what you don’t know” and many of these human beings struggling with #mentalillness have never experienced the freedom felt from taking these actions/steps/support . Because it’s #taboo you see! If it’s said “I have #mentalhealth issues” than you are crazy or need a straight jacket right ?!?! Medications right? NO we need love and acceptance and understanding and #community."

Lastly, the star wants everyone to know it is ok to have an open discussion about their issues, no matter how embarrassing it may seem.
"We need to be able to talk openly and honestly. Little issues become BIG PROBLEMS when not addressed/spoken about. I believe we are only as sick as our secrets. It’s TIME TO GET HONEST!!! And get UnSick!!!" he concluded.
The "Baywatch" star has openly struggled with drug addiction as well as legal issues.
But, Jackson is also well-known for his work in the recovery industry and helping many get sober and work on their overall health.
