Matthew Perry's family continues to share their feelings on the last days of the late actor's life.

The late "Friends" actor passed away on October 28th, 2023. As the first anniversary of his death approaches, Perry's family members are opening up to the public about their feelings surrounding the tragedy.

A day after Perry's younger sister, Caitlin Morrison, and his step-father Keith Morrison, opened up about losing their beloved family member, the "Fools Rush In" actor's mother, Suzanne, is sharing details surrounding one of her final conversations with her late son.

Matthew Perry Passed Away From A Ketamine Overdose

Perry passed away last year at the age of 54 from "the acute effects of Ketamine." A person is typically given around 1000 to 6000 ng/ml in a controlled medical setting where the drug is administered as an anesthetic, as previously reported by The Blast.

The "Whole Nine Yards" actor had ketamine levels of 3540 ng/ml in his system at the time of his death.

Five people have been charged in connection with Perry's passing.

The Actor's Family Have Opened Up About Losing The Beloved Funny Guy

In an interview with Hello! Canada Magazine, the actor's stepfather, and sister have given insight into their feelings surrounding losing Perry nearly one year after his passing.

"The work that I'm doing now is very selfish because it kind of feels like I'm sitting right next to Matthew, working with him every day on something that was important to him," Caitlin said, in reference to the launch of The Matthew Perry Foundation's Canada chapter.

Caitlin revealed that working as a member of the organization is a way of keeping her brother close. She told the publication, "I have this treasure of getting to keep him very, very close to my life all the time," adding, "which is wonderful."

Matthew Perry's Stepfather Shared That His Stepson's Death Was A Shock

Perry's stepfather Keith, who is a correspondent for Dateline, vulnerably shared how the aftermath of the "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip" actor's death affected their family in the earliest days.

"When [Matthew] suddenly died, it was incredibly shocking… anybody who has lost a child will tell you that, even if you are in some way prepared for the possibility, it’s shattering. What we have decided to do is hang on to that determination and try to do something useful," Morrison explained.

Earlier in the interview, Morrison shared Perry "would like to be remembered for doing something to help people suffering from addiction."

The 'Go On' Actor's Mother Has Shared Details About Final Moments With Her Son

To commemorate the first anniversary of Perry's passing, the Morrison family sat down with the TODAY show to remember the actor's legacy and share their hearts with fans.

Mrs. Morrison opened up to Savannah Guthrie about a conversation she had with her late son, wherein he shared what was on his heart at the time.

Suzanne recalled, "He came up to me and said, ‘I love you so much and I’m so happy to be with you now..." She also shared with the audience that their conversation had taken place "when he went through a period interestingly enough" where he had shown his mother "one of his new houses," per People.

Matthew Perry's Mother Felt The Conversation Was Like 'A Premonition'

Mrs. Morrison then opened up about how she felt after hearing her son's words after some reflection.

"It was almost as though it was a premonition of something. I didn’t think about it at the time but I thought, ‘How long has it been since we’ve had a conversation like that. It’s been years," she said.

She then revealed that her son's next words had "worried" her.

"I think there was something… there was an inevitability to what was going to happen next to him, and he felt it very strongly," she explained. "But he said, ‘I’m not frightened anymore.’ And it worried me," Mrs. Morrison said.

Perry had detailed his life story in his memoir, "Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing," which was released on November 1st, 2022. The actor shared his years-long struggle with addiction within its pages and revealed stories from his personal life over the years.

Fans will be able to watch the conversation when it airs on Monday, October 28th.
