The Blast reported that the former president's campaign has recorded some serious shifts in acceptance recently. Amongst them is the significant 180 Victor Willis of the Village People music band made over Trump's eligibility to use their song "Y.M.C.A." in his rallies.

Willis has now recanted his earlier rebuttal following a significant leap in streaming stats since Trump used their track, shooting it up to #2 on Billboard's digital chart.

He ultimately okayed the politician to use the song till the end of the rally as he noted that his choices were limited because Trump is also legally allowed to use it since he applied for a political use license from BMI.

The band leader reiterated her support for Harris despite the temporary distraction Trump caused. In fact, the Village People condemned the politician when he used their song at a rally during the 2020 election, showing that they have been consistent with their dislike for Trump's political philosophy.

Willis also considered getting his lawyer and wife to revoke his license this time, but he decided to leave the status quo last minute.

The musician, however, went ahead with serving Trump papers, but it was a request that he stop hiring impersonators to perform the band's hit songs at rallies.

The cease and desist also warned him to stop creating the narrative that the group endorsed him for the upcoming polls.

Levi also made a U-turn from supporting Robert F. Kennedy Jr to joining the Trump bandwagon. "This year, I found Bobby Kennedy, and I thought, 'Man, this guy. He's the real deal.' And in a perfect world and whatever that would look like, perhaps I would have voted for Bobby," the statement began.

He added that getting Trump to the office was important to save America from a "lot of people who want to take this place way off the cliff and the broken world in which everyone exists in. Levi concluded:

"And so I stand with Bobby, and I stand with everyone else who is standing with President Trump."

The polls are less than three weeks away, and one winner must emerge in this keenly contested battle between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris. Will Mel Gibson's guy earn the bragging rights?
