Wiz Khalifa continues to pay for smoking at a music festival as he gets indicted for possessing a "risk drug."
The rapper, born Cameron Jibril Thomaz, got on the wrong side of Romanian authorities for smoking cannabis during a July concert. Many initially believed the incident concluded with his arrest until a recent press release said otherwise.
The country's anti-organized crime prosecutors organization (DIICOT) announced they had completed an investigation into Wiz Khalifa's case. Their results indicated the Hip-Hop star deserved to be indicted for his crimes.

Three months before his indictment, The Blast reported the "Black and Yellow" hitmaker was arrested for illegal drug possession in Romania. The DIICOT broke the news in a press release, stating prosecutors had launched criminal proceedings against the rapper.
They noted he was being "investigated for the crime of unlawful possession of risk drugs." The statement explained that during Wiz Khalifa's performance at the music festival, he had consumed cannabis on stage, but cops found more on his person.
Prosecutors promised to be fair in their investigation, noting Wiz Khalifa would "benefit from the procedural rights and guarantees provided by the Code of Criminal Procedure, as well as the presumption of innocence."

It is no secret that Wiz Khalifa enjoys smoking cannabis, but he should have looked up the laws regarding it in Romania. Unlike certain parts of the US where the drug is legal, the country considered cannabis a "risk drug."
According to Romanian laws, possession of cannabis is punishable by up to ten years in prison. A source close to the investigation confirmed that Wiz Khalifa, along with others, had been taken in for questioning following his arrest.
However, the rapper was only charged with illegal drug possession and not kept in custody. A video of his arrest went viral on X, capturing the moment authorities escorted Wiz Khalifa off the premises.
Although it was unclear who he was talking to, the rapper could be heard saying, "Don't come near me, bro. Don't surround me, don't do none of that. I'm not going nowhere."
The Rapper Promised To Return To The Country

Despite his run-in with authorities, Wiz Khalifa addressed his arrest positively on X. He noted the incident did not ruin his love for Romanian fans and vowed to return writing:
"Last night's show was amazing. I didn't mean any disrespect to the country of Romania by lighting up on stage. They were very respectful and let me go. I'll be back soon. But without a big ass joint next time."
The Romania drama came four years after the rapper and Michael Strachan were sued for their cannabis company, Khalifa Kush. One of the company's co-owners, Carlos Arias, filed the lawsuit over his alleged rights to profits.
Wiz Khalifa Accused Of 'Wrongful Conduct' And More Crimes
According to Arias, Wiz Khalifa and his entourage conspired with an outside counsel to orchestrate a devious scheme. He accused them of asset misappropriation and using the company's proceeds for themselves.
Arias claimed he was denied interest from the company's proceeds, including a cannabis licensing deal valued at no less than $20,000,000. He slammed the rapper and Strachan for "wrongful conduct," claiming they stole "more than $100,000,000 in assets."
Additionally, the lawsuit accused the pair of "breach of fiduciary duty, aiding and abetting fiduciary breaches," among other crimes. While this suit did not impact Wiz Khalifa's love for cannabis, will his recent indictment in Romania have any effect?
