Demi Moore decided to share her life story in her upcoming memoir for herself, and not to please any critic, ex-husband or family member.

The actress posted a throwback of her from 1975. In the photo, Moore is seen holding cheerleader pom poms and smiling for the camera.

Moore wrote a message with the photo, to explain the reasons she wrote her upcoming memoir “Inside Out”. She says the story was only hers to tell the world.

She wrote, “A sneak peek from #InsideOutBook (coming 9/24!)… “There are two reasons I wanted to tell this story, the story of how I learned to surrender. First, because it’s mine. It doesn’t belong to the tabloids or my mom or the men I’ve married or the people who’ve loved or hated my movies or even my children. My story is mine alone; I’m the only one who was there for all of it, and I decided to claim the power to tell it on my own terms. The second reason is that even though it’s mine, maybe some part of this story is yours, too.”

Her ex-husbands include Bruce Willis and Ashton Kutcher.

The description reads, “Famed American actress Demi Moore at last tells her own story in a surprisingly intimate and emotionally charged memoir. For decades, Demi Moore has been synonymous with celebrity. From iconic film roles to high-profile relationships, Moore has never been far from the spotlight—or the headlines.”

“Even as Demi was becoming the highest paid actress in Hollywood, however, she was always outrunning her past, just one step ahead of the doubts and insecurities that defined her childhood. Throughout her rise to fame and during some of the most pivotal moments of her life, Demi battled addiction, body image issues, and childhood trauma that would follow her for years—all while juggling a skyrocketing career and at times negative public perception. As her success grew, Demi found herself questioning if she belonged in Hollywood, if she was a good mother, a good actress—and, always, if she was simply good enough.”
