For Crawford, making the decision to leave “Catfish” was a tough one, but she is excited for what the next chapter will bring.

“It was a difficult decision, but I am so excited about the future and what’s to come,” she told The Blast exclusively. “I obviously love hosting. It’s something that I’ve always wanted to do, and I feel very blessed to be able to do it, and I don’t see myself not hosting, but I really want to get into the production side of things and be the one behind the camera.”

Crawford would love to produce a documentary or something in the “dating space” because that’s a place she feels really comfortable in.

“Catfish” came with a lot of great, memorable moments for Crawford. She shared some of her favorite memories with The Blast, saying there were many “jaw-dropping moments.”

“I think some of my favorite moments are the ones where I think that I’m on the side of the person that we’re helping, so the hopeful, but then I meet the catfish and I actually switch sides and I end up being on the other side,” she explained.

“But I think some of the best moments are what happen off camera. You know, there have been so many times that we got to travel with our hopeful and take them to different places and get them to try new foods that they haven’t tried or we go bowling or something like that and really get to know people. I love getting to know the people that we help on a deeper level than just what you see on camera because in order for them to trust us or trust me with their heart in this very vulnerable situation, you want to know them.”

Crawford further explained that she’s never been the “host that just comes on when the cameras are on and then is off when the cameras are off.” She said she likes to deep dive into their childhood trauma, or past relationships.

Being on “Catfish” for so many years means Crawford has seen and learned a lot along the way. She said there are a few things she feels are important for anyone who’s online dating.

“I would say you want to make sure that you are crossing your T’s and dotting your I’s. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with Googling people,” she said. “I don’t think that there is anything wrong with cross-referencing.”

Crawford said that “extra precautions” are something women should be doing, and utilizing Google is a great way to do that.

“You should search because it’s for safety at the end of the day,” she continued. “I don’t know if it’s because of my job or because I’m a Scorpio or because just the way the world is, I’m a naturally paranoid person, and it would make me feel more at ease to know who I’m meeting up with.”

The television host met her current boyfriend on a dating app and said she did some online research before meeting up. She Googled him and found his Facebook page to do a little investigating, and suggests others do the same.

Crawford recently joined forces with Mucinex for their “No Regrets” campaign to remind consumers that Mucinex Nightshift provides multi-symptom night-time cold and flu relief so you can get the rest you need and wake up ready to tackle the day. Crawford, being a big believer in the power of Mucinex and always making sure she has some on hand for when it’s needed, said this partnership is “very natural.”

“I feel like my partnership with Mucinex has lasted longer than my official partnership with Mucinex because I have been a sick girlie my almost entire life. I’ve struggled with sinusitis and tonsillitis, and so Mucinex has always been the thing that doctors would recommend for me to take,” she told The Blast.

“Now they have Mucinex Nightshift, which is incredible. Take that at night so you can sleep better and then wake up the next day with no regrets. You wake up the next day feeling so much better.”

Crawford said she makes sure to keep Mucinex with her at all times, especially while traveling and during the cold weather months.

The model also makes sure to make health, wellness, and self-care a priority. Some of her favorite things - turtlenecks, socks, vitamins, and staying hydrated. She’s also big on homemade chicken soup.

“I love chicken soup. I have mastered my children soup,” she said. “So I feel really good about that. It does not take a long time to make your own soup. And you can batch it and keep it frozen in the freezer to whip out whenever you need to.”

As for her go-to self-care, she said it's being with her family. As the oldest of six girls, Crawford is close with her siblings and said being around them “recalibrates” her. She’s also big into routines because “getting too far out of my routine makes me feel just mentally out of whack.”

Let's Talk Relationships!

Knowing the online dating world inside and out from “Catfish” as well as her own experience means Crawford has a lot to talk about in the world of relationships. Her podcast, “Relationsh*t” covers all different areas of relationships in a relatable way.

“It’s not just romantic relationships. I feel like some relationships in your life are actually more meaningful than some romantic relationships you may have. So we talk about what it’s like to break up with a best friend, what it’s like to have a toxic work relationship, what to bring when you when you meet the parents over the holidays, those kinds of things,” she told The Blast.

“We also talk about therapy. We talk about abuse. We talk about all kinds of different topics that we all may have experienced or know someone who experienced it.”

Crawford said she calls her listeners her “own little community of besties.” Many listeners write in weekly for advice, and she has different guests each week. New episodes air every Friday.

“It’s just been a really amazing outlet for me to be able to just be myself and reach my followers on a different level. I absolutely love it,” she continued. “I think everyone should listen to it. I think it’s the best podcast. It’s a fun listen.”
