Justin Bieber reportedly plans to take his business managers to court over claims that they mismanaged his finances.
The pop star who sold off his catalog of songs is "upset" that he has lost a "ton of money" due to their alleged inability to manage his finances properly.
A few months back, Justin Bieber also parted ways with his long-time manager, Scooter Braun, though it is unclear if the talent manager is among those whom the singer intends to sue.
Justin Bieber Has Been 'Upset' With His Business Managers For Years
According to TMZ, Bieber believes his business managers grossly mismanaged his money for years and now want to sue them.
Sources informed the outlet that the singer believes he "lost a ton of money as a result of terrible decisions made by business managers," although it was not disclosed just how much he believes has been wasted.
They also hinted that the mismanagement was not over a short period, as Bieber has been "very upset for several years" over their financial decisions.
However, it appears that his decision to move forward with a filing against the alleged offenders is being stalled because some of his team members have advised him not to do so.
Justin Bieber's Music Catalog Profits Might Have Been Mismanaged
In the meantime, it is unclear if part of the money that was mismanaged included the profits from the sale of the singer's music catalog in January 2023.
At the time, Bieber sold the catalog for $200 million to music investment company Hipgnosis Songs Capital.
He no longer gets any checks from streaming companies on the songs he released before December 31, 2021.
While discussions are said to be ongoing to determine the next steps in the matter, some have accused Bieber of spending his wealth recklessly.
This seems to hint at an earlier report by the Daily Mail of his wife, Hailey Bieber, being "a seriously high spender" and reportedly spending "tens of millions on private jets to fly around the world."
He Parted Ways With His Talent Manager In June
The news about Bieber's intention to sue his business managers comes months after he parted ways with talent manager Scooter Braun.
The reason behind the separation was not stated at the time, only that the talent manager would no longer have a hand in directing Bieber's affairs.
"Scooter Braun and SB Projects are not involved in Justin's current business or management and will not be involved moving forward," read a report from People Magazine.
They added, "Justin is excited about the projects he is currently working on and is focused on what's in front of him."
Following the revelation, Braun announced that he was retiring from music management after 23 years.
Justin Bieber Recently Made Headlines For His Relationship With Diddy
Amid the drama about Bieber's finances, he recently made the news of his relationship with Diddy, who has been charged with sex crimes.
Several videos of the singer and the rapper resurfaced in light of the charges, which made many question how much he knew of Diddy's sordid affairs.
While Bieber has yet to make any public comment on the matter, it is believed that he wants "nothing to do with Diddy" and is "completely disgusted" by the allegations, per US Weekly.
He also reportedly regrets collaborating with the Bad Boy founder on his last album, in which he featured on the track "Moments."
The Singer Is Focused On Being A Father And Husband
According to People, a source revealed that Bieber is shifting his focus to his family life and is prioritizing his roles as a husband to Hailey and father to their young son.
Bieber's name has been mentioned multiple times online in conversations about Diddy's recent arrest, as the pair were known to have a good working relationship.
"He's aware of Diddy's arrest and all the allegations," the source told the news outlet of Bieber. "It's not anything that he wants to focus on, though."
The insider went on to add that Bieber has instead "been in a happy bubble since baby Jack was born" and that the "Peaches" singer "wants to focus on being a great dad and husband."
