Details Of Kevin Hart's Spinal Fractures Revealed After He Underwent Major Surgery

We're learning more about the Calabasas car accident in which Kevin Hart was seriously injured.

In the crash, which took place over Labor Day weekend, Hart broke his spine in three places.

It's been reported that Hart had surgery to fuse three fractures in his spine -- two in the thoracic section and one in the lumbar region.

Last Sunday, Hart was riding with his friend Jared Black and Black's fiance Rebecca Broxterman when Hart's 1970 Plymouth Barracuda smashed through a fence and went down an embankment.

Black and Broxterman were trapped in the vehicle, while Hart went to seek help.

According to a police report:

"Black immediately lost control of the vehicle and the Plymouth left the road and rolled over down the northern embankment."

"Two of the three occupants were trapped in the vehicle. The remaining occupant and owner of the vehicle, Kevin Hart, left the scene to his nearby residence to get medical attention."

It is unclear how Hart was able to get help when his spine was broken in three places.

Hart's wife, Eniko (Parrish) Hart, says the comedian and actor is "going to be just fine."

Having a spinal injury like that doesn't sound like an easy rebound. Hart will be in for "extensive" physical therapy and doctor visits to make sure he makes a full recovery.

Black also suffered "major back injuries," while Broxterman had minor injuries.

Investigators are looking at speed as a possible factor in the crash.
