Britney Spears' Boyfriend Reveals She Handpicked Him to Play Love Interest Years Ago

It's been over two years since they began dating and now, Britney Spears' boyfriend is dishing on the early stages of their love life in his very first sit-down interview.

In a sneak peek of Sam Asghari's interview with ET, he reveals how he nabbed the job of Britney's love interest in her music video, "Slumber Party."

If you'll recall, Sam played a mysterious hottie that Brit had her eye, and now we know he wasn't just sought after by the pop princess onset.

Revealing Britney Spears handpicked him to appear in "Slumber Party," he says his first reaction was "why not?"

"Now Britney Spears, the Princess Of Pop, is calling me wanting me to play the love interest," he told ET. "I said, 'Why not? Let me give it a shot.'"

Adding he was confident in his skills because of all the attention he gained from appearing in Fifth Harmony's "Work" video prior to Brit's.

"I knew what I was stepping into," Sam stated.

Unless most actors in Hollywood, he didn't even have to audition for Britney!

"It was a direct book," Sam revealed, adding that his good friend was working on the video and slipped casting his photo.

Casting sent his pics to Britney and the Pop Princess allegedly said, "I want this guy."

Sam also dishes on his first date with Britney, which took place at a sushi spot almost half a year after he played her love interest.

"At the music video we connected, we talked, like she said before," he said.

He added that they had texted each other after the video and "the next thing you know" they had their first date "just like a normal couple."

The two sparked dating rumors after Sam and Britney began posting photos with each other in late 2016.

They've been inseparable ever since and made their first red carpet debut just months ago.

Sam even stood by Britney's side when she was seeking treatment for her mental health earlier this year.
