Zach Bryan's Partner Brianna LaPaglia Is 'Feeling Really Blindsided' After Breakup Announcement

It seems Zach Bryan and his girlfriend, Brianna LaPaglia, were not on the same page during their break-up discussion.

The TikTok star reacted in a rather shocking way to the news of her country singer ex-boyfriend announcing their split on social media.

Zach Bryan and Brianna LaPaglia began their whirlwind romance last July, two months after he broke up with his ex-girlfriend.

The Barstool podcaster's Instagram Story got busy as soon as the news of the breakup filled the air, just over one year after their love story began. In her words:

"Hey guys I'm feeling really blindsided right now. Gonna hop off social media for a while and attempt to heal privately."

LaPaglia assured the fans that she would be back to address the split and maybe give a detailed story on what truly happened. She added, "I love you guys so much thank you for all of your kind words. Remember you are so loved, and everything's always gonna be okay."

Like his now ex, the musician informed their teeming fans via his Instagram Story that their chapter together has closed.

He stated that despite their current situation, he still respects and loves her "with every ounce of my heart." Bryan noted that he had an "incredibly hard year personally and struggled through some pretty severe things," which made the breakup necessary.

"I am not perfect and never will be. Please respect Brianna's privacy and space in this, and if you have it in your heart, mine too," the celebrity added.

He apologized for the disappointment his decision may have caused, adding, "I try my best in everything. I failed people that love me and mostly myself."

LaPaglia and the country artist set eyes on each other for the first time at the Academy of Country Music Awards in May 2023, where the podcaster asked Bryan for a photo with him.

According to PEOPLE, the pair did not engage in any conversation as they had romantic partners at that time, although LaPaglia's boyfriend did not accompany her to the event.

Later that month, Bryan announced his split from his then-girlfriend and was joined on stage by LaPaglia to perform one of his songs in June. By July, LaPaglia confirmed their relationship on her podcast "PlanBri Uncut." In her words:

"It’s fun, it's casual... just wanted to address it because the whole internet is freaking the f— out and people are doing sh-t."

She added that they initially wanted to keep things under wraps, but the speculations became too serious to ignore. "We're just hanging out, having fun, and that’s where I've been, that’s what I've been doing, that’s what I’m gonna be doing for a little bit. We'll see where it goes, and I'm happy," she noted.

The podcast host looked ravishing in a black number from Undone by Kate. She was flanked by her beau, who opted for a black suit and bow tie combo.

Bryan won his first ever Grammys later that evening with his lover cheering him on from the audience. Their red carpet debut came after LaPaglia addressed the hateful comments she has been receiving since disclosing their relationship status on her podcast.

"It's fun, I'm like eating it up….But now, I realize you can't buy into love — or hate — on the internet. You just kinda gotta be yourself and see where it takes ya," the 25-year-old declared.

Speaking of hate comments, The Blast shared that the "Pink Skies" got into trouble with the Swifties last month after he compared the pop star to rapper Kanye "Ye" West on X (formerly known as Twitter).

"Eagles > Chiefs," he began in the post, seemingly throwing a shade at Swift's partner, Kansas City Chiefs player Travis Kelce, before adding, "Kanye > Taylor who's with me."

His tweet circulated to the right audience, who tore him into shreds in defense of the "Blank Space" singer. Bryan realized the issue had escalated beyond his control and clarified that he was drunk and listening to "Thank You Aimee" from Swift's new album when he made the tweet.

The singer added, "If anyone took it serious please know I love both artists a lot and think we're in a really beautiful time of music," before deleting his X account for good.
