Garth Brooks' Sexual Assault Drama Reportedly Impacting His Health: 'The Most Stressful Event Of His Life'

Garth Brooks is reportedly struggling with intense emotional stress as he faces a sexual assault scandal that is profoundly affecting his health. 

This development comes after a motion filed by his accuser, demanding Brooks be sanctioned for revealing her identity during the legal proceedings. 

As the legal battle unfolds, concerns grow for Garth Brooks' well-being, highlighting just how deeply this crisis is impacting him.

The Country music icon is enduring what sources describe as the "most stressful event of his life" after a former employee filed a civil complaint accusing him of rape and harassment. 

This shocking accusation has not only shattered Brooks' previously spotless reputation but has also left him grappling with overwhelming stress.

Despite his firm denial of the claims and determination to clear his name, the emotional toll is reportedly taking a serious hit on his health. A source close to Brooks shared:

"He's totally convinced he'll get through this sordid mess, but it's caused him undue stress. He's in legal meetings and the phone is going off 24/7. He's having to fend off questions from friends and loved ones. It's perhaps the most stressful event of his life."

According to In Touch, the insider also revealed that the mounting pressure has led to concerning health issues for Brooks, including elevated blood pressure and physical symptoms like bloating. 

Friends are deeply worried, with one insider adding, "The pressure he's facing is enough to make him a nervous wreck." Brooks' once-healthy lifestyle has also taken a hit, as he's reportedly seeking solace in food to cope with the overwhelming strain.

Brooks had proudly embraced a healthier lifestyle and eben shed over 50 pounds in recent years. The Oklahoma native once shared his struggles with weighing over 300 pounds and needing to slim down for more energetic performances. 

However, with his legal battles, his friends noticed the weight creeping back, with one insider stating, "He's hoarding food from Trisha, sweets, chips, all kinds of bad stuff that she'd throw out if she saw it."

"Garth is trying not to worry and look after himself, everyone is saying he'll win this, but it doesn't take away the fact he's in a real bad place emotionally over this scandal," the source explained.

Despite his efforts to stay positive, Brooks is said to be in a dark emotional space, with the insider adding, "He's furious, too. Words can't possibly describe what he's going through right now."

Brooks' declining health could be a result of the intensifying battle with his sexual assault accuser. Earlier this month, The Blast shared that tensions reached a new high when the accuser's legal team filed a motion to punish Brooks for publicly revealing her real name.

The woman initially filed her complaint under the pseudonym "Jane Roe" to protect her privacy, but Brooks allegedly retaliated by amending his complaint to use her actual name. 

This action prompted her attorneys to issue a scathing public statement, labeling Brooks a "bully" for outing a rape victim.

"Garth Brooks just revealed his true self. Out of spite and to punish, he publicly named a rape victim. With no legal justification, Brooks outed her because he thinks the laws don't apply to him," the attorneys declared, pushing for the court to impose "maximum sanctions against him immediately."

The attorneys also called for the immediate sealing of legal documents containing their client's full name. 

According to initial court documents, the 62-year-old alleges that his accuser attempted to blackmail him by threatening to publicly air fabricated allegations unless he paid her a hefty sum.

In a letter sent on July 17, Brooks' accuser reportedly demanded millions of dollars, stating that if he did not comply, she would file a civil complaint filled with what he insists are untrue accusations. 

The "Friends in Low Places" singer claimed that "the letter referred to various celebrity sexual misconduct lawsuits featuring multi-million dollar jury awards."

The star asserts that the woman's threats have caused him significant "emotional distress including anxiety and fear for himself and his family."

As the legal battle heats up, Brooks remains firm in his denial, even noting that he and his accuser used to have a long-standing professional relationship. 

However, Brooks noted that it took a turn for the worse when she moved from Tennessee to Mississippi in May 2020 and began facing financial difficulties.

Out of loyalty, Brooks says he helped her during tough times, but things soured when she demanded "salaried employment and medical benefits."

When the father-of-three refused her requests, the hairstylist allegedly "responded with false and outrageous allegations of sexual misconduct she claims occurred years ago."

With the legal battle continuing, Garth Brooks remains determined to clear his name despite the toll on his health.
