Actress Lindsay Lohan is known for her iconic "ex-wife" Halloween costume in "Mean Girls," but the former Disney darling is being honest about a struggle she's facing ahead of the spookiest day of the year!

The 38-year-old "Freakier Friday" star became a new mother after the birth of her son, Luai, last summer with husband Bader Shammas. The first-time mommy has depicted some of her son's firsts on Instagram, including his first birthday.

Figuring out those first moments of motherhood is sometimes difficult, especially when the holiday season rolls around! Lohan is getting real about those festive firsts!

Lindsay Lohan Welcomed A Son In July Of 2023

Four years after Lohan and her future husband began dating, the duo are now parents! Mr. and Mrs. Shammas got engaged in 2021 and married a year later.

The baby boy was born in the couple's home base of Dubai, as The Blast previously reported. A representative for the actress confirmed his birth per an announcement from Page Six.

"The family is over the moon and in love," the statement read.

The meaning of Luai translates from Arabic and symbolizes as "protector" or "shield."

"The Parent Trap" alumna announced her pregnancy via Instagram on March 14, 2022. In the caption of a post featuring a "coming soon" sign, the mama-to-be described the happy couple as feeling "blessed and excited."

The New Mama Felt 'So Proud' Of Her Postpartum Body

Life as a new mama gave Lohan some time to reflect. The actress took an honest look at navigating her postpartum body. In a pic showing off her new body, she spoke to her Instagram followers about how she felt.

"I am so proud of what this body was able to accomplish during these months of pregnancy, and now, recovery," Lohan wrote. The actress has also been honest in the past about suffering a miscarriage and shared the personal details in the OWN documentary "Lindsay" from 10 years ago.

"No one knows this," Lohan admitted, "...but I had a miscarriage for the two weeks I took off," she said.

The "Herbie Fully Loaded" actress has expressed that she struggles with seeing that version of herself on film. Of looking back, Lohan recalled, "It's a very long story. I was sick. And mentally that messes with you. And watching this series, I just know how I felt at that moment, and I can relate to that girl, which sounds kinda crazy. But I'm like, oh my god, this is really sad, who is helping her?"

Lohan is a decade removed from watching that struggling version of herself, and now not only is she thriving, but she also gets to focus on the beautiful firsts of parenthood, even if they make her feel a little puzzled!

The "First" singer is counting down the days until Halloween so she can dress up little Luai. The problem is, she's struggling to reign in on her costume ideas!

The new mama said, "I'm still trying to decide what I want him to wear, but my problem is I always buy so many costumes," to People. "And he's still at the age where I can just make him wear five different things because I just want all those photo memories."
