Miley Cyrus & Liam Hemsworth Close To Settling Divorce, Negotiations Are Amicable

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are hashing out details for the end of their short-term marriage and sources close the couple tell us their divorce settlement will be wrapped up by Halloween.

Sources close to the case tell us, discussions of the divorce have been "amicable" and the attorneys are currently working things out for the power couple.

It is going so well, in fact, we're told there has been no issues at all, and the two are letting their lawyers draft the documents to get them signed ASAP.

The key in this case is the iron clad prenup. We're told when the couple decided to get married, the two worked out a legal agreement that would make if very simple if they ever split. She gets hers, and he gets his.

Of course, Liam and Miley are both wealthy and successful people and luckily they have attorney's like Laura Wasser to help them navigate the process.

The agreement, we're told, is "very specific" and doesn't allow for either side to argue anything much about each others finances. Liam and Miley both own property, and will maintain ownership of said property.

Also, neither party will have to pay the other spousal support. They couple has no kids.

The only item which could be up for discussion would be any money the couple made while married. In the state of California, those earnings would be considered community property. As you can imagine, both stars made money and its a non-issue in this case.

In the end, our sources say it will just take a few more weeks to get the paperwork finished and signed. The newly single stars will be able to dress up and hit the Halloween party scene knowing the marriage and divorce is behind them.

This is a breath of fresh air, after stories surfaced about things like infidelity in the relationship. Miley was seen immediately following the split kissing Brody Jenner's ex Kaitlynn Carter.

The couple was married on December 23, 2018.The two were married at Miley's Nashville home over Christmas during an intimate ceremony.

As we reported, Hemsworth filed documents asking the court not to award either of them any spousal support, citing a the prenup the former couple signed before they tied the knot.

The couple announced their split earlier this month, saying, "Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time. Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers. They still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart. Please respect their process and privacy."

She added, "I feel really happy and really fortunate to be with such a great person," while Hemsworth said, "We've been through so much together over the last, ten years, so it felt like it was time.”

Hemsworth spoke out separately about the split a few days later, saying, "Hi all Just a quick note to say that Miley and I have recently separated and I wish her nothing but health and happiness going forward. This is a private matter and I have not made, nor will I be making, any comments to any journalists or media outlets. Any reported quotes attributed to me are false. Peace and Love."

Once the ink is dry the couple will be officially single, its great news considering in Hollywood these things can be a lot worse.
