The actress took the stage at the "Broadway for Harris" event, belting out the rock band’s most iconic love ballad with passion and pride. Naturally, Hathaway is well-acquainted with the song, having performed the Queen anthem in one memorable scene as her character in "Ella Enchanted."
Aside from a stellar rendition of the hit song, Anne Hathaway encouraged Americans to get out and vote on November 5. "We got a big choice to make, America, you have to make a choice, you do have to vote. Maybe this election, maybe you don’t have a candidate that you love, but you have to have an issue that you," she. said. "Maybe the somebody you love is you. You gotta vote for yourself, America."

This is not the first time Hathaway has dipped her toes in the political discussion.
In a video posted on Instagram on Saturday, October 5, the "Princess Diaries" actress showcased her outfit of the day while urging her followers to register to vote, reminding them that the election is just 30 days away.
Plus, in 2018, she shared her fears about the bigotry directed at the LGBTQ community, but a speech from former Vice President Joe Biden renewed her faith. “I think I’m probably walking around like most people right now," she said, per The New York Post. "I’m pretty shell-shocked by what I see every day, what I hear every day. And I really don’t like to admit this, but I get scared.”
“It is important to acknowledge with the exception of being a cisgender male, everything about how I was born has put me at the current center of a damaging and widely accepted myth,” she continued. "That myth is that gayness orbits around straightness, transgender orbits around cisgender and that all races orbit around whiteness.”
Kamala Harris Advocates For The LGBTQ Community
Hathaway revealed that her experiences with the LGBTQ community—particularly because her older brother is gay—have taught her to challenge and reject this myth.
“I appreciate this community because together we are not going to just question this myth, we are going to destroy it,” she said in 2018. “Let’s tear this world apart and build a better one.”
As Vice President, Harris has consistently advocated against anti-LGBTQ+ legislation in the U.S., including bans on gender-affirming care for youth and "don't say gay" laws that limit discussions about sexuality and gender identity in schools.
Other Stars Who Have Endorsed Kamala Harris
Sam Elliot, Halle Bailey, Jeremy Jordan, Taylor Swift, and Magic Johnson have all publicly thrown their support behind Kamala Harris.
"I'm voting for the rights of all my beautiful LGTBQ+ friends and family," Jeremy Jordan said on Instagram last week. "I'm voting for the rights of women to be able to make choices about their own damn bodies. I'm voting for just plain human decency. I'm voting for strength measured by compassion instead of cruelty."
Bryan Cranston Throws Support Behind Kamala Harris And Tim Walz
"Breaking Bad" star Bryan Cranston recently stepped into the political arena by endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris for the 2024 presidential election.
During an event titled “Fighting for Reproductive Freedom,” held on Saturday, October 12, the focus was squarely on abortion rights. The 68-year-old actor took the stage to express his views on “the freedom of choice,” highlighting his personal connection as a father to a daughter.
“I am not a politician. I am not a doctor or a lawyer, but I played all of those on TV. But I am a father of a daughter, and it’s important to me for her life now, for the future other father’s daughters to be able to have within their lifetime the fundamental right, freedom of choice,” Cranston said at the event. “There should not be anyone but them deciding what happens to their own bodies."
"And that’s why I am enthusiastically supporting Vice President Harris and Governor Walz," he announced.
