'OITNB' Creator Jenji Kohan Settles Divorce, Keeps Her Television Fortune

"Orange Is The New Black" creator Jenji Kohan has just settled her divorce from husband Christopher Noxon, and in the agreement she will keep all rights and royalties to the hit Netflix show.
According to documents obtained by The Blast, Kohan has agreed to make payments of around $15 million to her ex-husband in exchange for keeping her monster businesses.

The money will be divided into several parts. First, for division of the couples property, a payment of $4,039,335 will be paid in cash.
Also, another $6 million in "securities and bonds" will be transferred in the name of Noxon, but if he decides he would rather have cash, Kohan will have 120 days to send it from the day the settlement is signed.
The deal, hashed out by celebrity powerhouse attorney Laura Wasser and the law firm of Meyer, Olson, Lowy & Meyers, will also include a one-time payment of $5 million which is in exchange of any spousal support.

As for the smash hit television show, the $5 million payment will be "in exchange for Noxon's waiver of any and all rights he may have to Kohan's past, present, and/or future compensation with respect to her creative endeavors and business interests, including any and all royalties, residuals, and profit participation."

Kohan filed for divorce on Christmas Eve, citing irreconcilable difference.
The couple was married in 1997 and they have three children.
Kohan first rose to prominence with the hit series, "Weeds," That series ran for eight seasons.In 2013, "OITNB" premiered on Netflix and was an instant hit.
