The Rapper Was Slammed With Lawsuit For Hitting A Fan With His Microphone
In January, The Blast reported that 50 Cent had gotten into trouble with the law after a fan, Bryhana Monegain, slammed him with a battery lawsuit. Her issues with the rapper began at a 2023 Los Angeles concert.
50 Cent was caught in a viral video throwing his microphone at the crowd, frustrated by the sound system issues during his show. Although he did not appear to be aiming at anyone when he chucked the object, it hit Monegain in the face and wrist. Her lawsuit then alleged:
"On or about August 30, 2023, [Bryhana] was lawfully on the [concert stage] and in the crowd watching Defendants G-Unit and [50 Cent's] performance when he realized his microphone was not working, and threw the microphone towards a crowed area, causing the microphone to strike [her] face and left wrist and resulting in severe and permanent injuries."
The Fan Claimed She Was Treated For Multiple Injuries

According to the lawsuit, "Immediately after the incident, she was transported by ambulance to the Los Angeles General Medical Center emergency department for treatment of injuries."
Monegain's injuries included but were not limited to "a concussion, laceration over her forehead, and pain in her left wrist. She complained of dizziness, headaches, light and sound sensitivity, and nausea."
50 Cent was investigated for battery by the authorities following the incident, but the D.A.'s Office did not pursue the matter. Instead, they passed the responsibility to the L.A. City Attorney's office, where prosecutors decided not to re-evaluate the Hip-Hop star for possible criminal charges.
The Victim's Attorneys Called Out 50 Cent In A Statement

The fan, represented by John Morgan and Casey Kilday, argued that she "continues to suffer from severe injuries and emotional distress." Her legal reps called out 50 Cent for causing her pain in a heated statement, claiming:
"Our client is pursuing a case against Curtis Jackson, professionally known as '50 Cent' and his touring company, G-UNIT Touring, for the assault she allegedly suffered through no fault of her own at his concert on August 30, 2023, at LA's Crypto.com Arena."
"She was simply an attendee trying to enjoy herself when a heavy object came catapulting toward her face. No matter who the assailant is, this alleged act of negligence and violence is unacceptable, and we will hold 50 Cent and his co-defendants accountable for their alleged actions," the statement continued.
"Mr. Jackson has himself previously said that 'If the talk ain't [a]bout money, homie, I ain't concerned,' so we are confident our client will be fairly and justly compensated for the injuries she suffered," the attorneys concluded.
50 Cent Started The New Year With A Celibacy Vow
Weeks before he was hit with the battery lawsuit, The Blast covered 50 Cent's New Year resolution. He shared his goal for 2024 in an Instagram post, dropping three pictures of himself in a dapper dark gray suit.
He paired the fit with a white shirt, a striped tie, and black shoes while posing with a cigar and a shot glass filled with liquor. 50 Cent exuded confidence and old-money vibes in the pictures and captioned the post:
"My new idea is so big, I don't have time to be distracted I'm practicing abstinence, I have been meditating and focusing on my goals. I hope this New Year helps you excel to the next level."
