Actress Cheryl Hines Seen With RFK Jr. Amid Cheating Rumors

Cheryl Hines and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. were spotted holding hands over the weekend, just weeks after reports surfaced about RFK Jr.'s alleged "personal relationship" with New York Magazine's Olivia Nuzzi.

In a note to readers, the magazine announced that Nuzzi had been placed on leave due to her connection with a subject related to the 2024 campaign. A source familiar with the situation informed CNN that the individual in question was Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

Shortly after the rumors started, "Curb Your Enthusiasm" star Cheryl Hines was spotted without her wedding ring, which only fueled speculation that she may have separated from Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

Photos obtained by the Daily Mail from Saturday, October 12, show RFK Jr. and Hines, who have been married since 2014, strolling hand-in-hand around the Kennedy family's Hyannis Port compound. During their visit, the couple made stops at a local gym and grocery store.

At one point, the actress was seen with her hand on her husband's shoulder. Notably, the Daily Mail reported that Kennedy was not wearing his wedding band, while Hines was seen sporting hers. This comes just weeks after she was spotted at a Milan Fashion Week after-party without it on.

Their recent moments together come just days after the passing of Kennedy's 96-year-old mother, Ethel Kennedy, on Thursday, October 10. Hines took to social media to praise her husband's heartfelt tribute to Ethel.

In a heartfelt post on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, RFK Jr. paid tribute to his mother, describing her as "intensely loyal" and noting that she would always "stand fiercely behind us when we came under attack by others."

"My mother invented tough love, and she could be hard on her children when we didn’t live up to her expectations," he wrote. "But she was also intensely loyal, and we always knew that she would stand fiercely behind us when we came under attack by others. She was our role model for self-discipline, for resilience, and for self-confidence."

In the comment section, Cheryl Hines said, “This is beautiful. Your mother was very proud of you.”

The recent photos seemingly shut down the reports that the actress was considering leaving her husband of 10 years.

“I’ll be shocked if Cheryl stays,” a source told the New York Post shortly after the news broke. “[Kennedy’s] always been known as a flirt and more, even Cheryl knows that. But it seemed like at least publicly he was faithful [until now]. It’s not good for Cheryl in Hollywood.”

“Any woman who gets involved with Bobby does so with her eyes open, or their brains lopped off. Any woman who thinks they’re going to change Bobby is misguided and purposefully ignorant," author Jerry Oppenheimer said.“Women have to understand what they’re getting into when they’re with him. After the news broke, the outlet placed Nuzzi on leave.

“Recently our Washington Correspondent Olivia Nuzzi acknowledged to the magazine’s editors that she had engaged in a personal relationship with a former subject relevant to the 2024 campaign while she was reporting on the campaign, a violation of the magazine’s standards around conflicts of interest and disclosures,” the publication said in a statement. “Had the magazine been aware of this relationship, she would not have continued to cover the presidential campaign.”

A representative for Kennedy informed The Washington Post that the former presidential candidate met Olivia Nuzzi only once for her November 2023 story about his campaign.

In a statement, Nuzzi acknowledged that “the nature of some communications between myself and a former reporting subject turned personal,” although she did not specifically mention Kennedy by name.

Kennedy has been the subject of cheating speculation, particularly regarding socialite Chelsea Chapman Kirwan. Hines was previously married to Paul Young from 2002 to 2010, and the couple shares a 20-year-old daughter, Catherine.
