Harrison Butker is once again making headlines for his strong beliefs, and this time, Donald Trump is involved.

The Kansas City Chiefs kicker recently endorsed the Republican presidential candidate based on his support for a cause close to his heart — the Pro-life movement.

According to Harrison Butker, Americans should vote for the "most Pro-life" leader, and Donald Trump fits the bill in his book. His support for the former president comes months after he went viral for his controversial graduation speech.

Butker announced his endorsement of Trump during a campaign event in Missouri for his pal U.S. Senator Josh Hawley. "I'm supporting the president that's going to be the most pro-life president," he proudly declared.

The NFL star doubled down on his decision while appearing on FOX News's "The Ingraham Angle," saying: "The [Pro-life] topic is the most crucial topic for me. I want us to be fighting for the most vulnerable."

"Fighting for the unborn, and that's what we should prioritize," Butker stressed, per TMZ, noting that people should choose a leader who embodied these beliefs and prioritized religion. His statement continued:

"I think you have to vote for whoever is gonna be the most pro-life, and we have to be prayerful men that put God first. I think that's what's going to be best for our country."

Butker Doubled Down On His Controversial Speech Being Misinterpreted

As a profoundly religious man, it is unsurprising that Butker does not believe in abortion and supports the Pro-life movement. He echoed similar sentiments about the importance of women embracing motherhood in his controversial speech at Benedictine College in May.

While some accused Butker of being misogynistic, he insisted that the message behind his words was taken in a "poor manner." He doubled down on his intent being about uplifting women and not degrading them, saying:

"I was trying to speak life for so many women that have dedicated their life to being the homemaker, being the one that raises the children, and it's a beautiful role, but it's not a role that should be diminished."

The NFL Star Reflected On His Infamous Comments In August

In August, The Blast reported that Butker had revisited his viral graduation speech and remained steadfast in his stance. "I prayed about it, and I thought about it, and I was very intentional with what I said. And I stand behind what I said," he declared.

"I feel like, seven years in the league, having this platform, I've just decided, 'You know what, there's things that I believe wholeheartedly that I think will make this world a better place, and I'm going to preach that,'" Butker explained, adding:

"And if people don't agree, they don't agree, but I'm going to continue to say what I believe to be true and love everyone along the way."

During his polarizing speech in May, Butker touched on multiple sensitive topics, from politics to gender roles and the LGBTQ community.

"Things like abortion, IVF, surrogacy, euthanasia, as well as a growing support for degenerative cultural values in media all stem from the pervasiveness of disorder," he claimed.

Inside Harrison Butker's Views About Women

Part of the speech that sparked media outrage was Butker's take on gender roles. "How many of you are sitting here now about to cross this stage and are thinking about all the promotions and titles you are going to get in your career?" he asked graduates.

"Some of you may go on to lead successful careers in the world. But I would venture to guess that the majority of you are most excited about your marriage and the children you will bring into this world," Butker continued.

The Kansas City Chiefs kicker used his wife as an example, claiming she "would be the first to say that her life truly started when she began living her vocation as a wife and as a mother."

Butker's support from Trump comes weeks after The Blast shared actor Zachary Levi's endorsement of the Republican presidential candidate. He noted he initially backed Robert F. Kennedy Jr., aka Bobby, before realizing the former POTUS was the man to follow.

"This year, I found Bobby Kennedy, and I thought, 'Man, this guy. He's the real deal.' And in a perfect world and whatever that would look like, perhaps I would have voted for Bobby," Levi said at the Reclaim America Tour in Michigan.

"But we don't live in a perfect world. In fact, we live in a very broken one. We live in a country that has been hijacked by a lot of people who want to take this place way off the cliff. And we're here to stop that, right?" he continued, adding:

"And so I stand with Bobby, and I stand with everyone else who is standing with President Trump."

Will more stars come out to endorse Donald Trump before the November elections?
