Travis Kelce’s Ex Kayla Nicole Breaks Silence On Rumored Reason For Their Split

Travis Kelce's ex, Kayla Nicole, is finally setting the record straight about their highly publicized breakup. 

After months of speculation, Nicole addressed the swirling rumor that Kelce's alleged frugality was the reason behind their split. The rumors claimed that the Kansas City Chiefs star was "cheap" during their relationship.

With her recent comments, Kayla Nicole is making sure is there no misunderstanding about her past with Travis Kelce.

During a candid conversation on the "Unapologetically Angel" podcast, the model firmly dismissed the claims, calling it outright "ridiculous."

"Yeah, that was never an issue in our relationship but it was definitely a rumor on the internet," she clarified, before quipping, "Do I look like someone who would split anything?"

Per Page Six, rumors swirled online that Kelce and Nicole broke up because they "split bills 50/50." The podcast host, Angel Reese, tried to interject before getting interrupted by Nicole, who doubled down on her statement, making it clear that there was no truth to the claims. 

The TV personality took another moment to point out the absurdity of the situation, saying, "Do I look like I would go 50/50 on bills?" Reese quickly replied, "No," solidifying Nicole's stance, as she reiterated, "OK so yeah – that was ridiculous."

Somewhere else in the interview, Nicole also pointed out that Kelce himself had addressed the rumors during a January 2023 appearance on "The Pivot" podcast. 

The athlete had called the gossip "crazy" and urged fans not to buy into it. When Kelce set the record straight, he disclosed that they both contributed financially during their five-year relationship. 

"He addressed that too. I don't even know why that even became a thing," Nicole said. While she firmly dismissed the notion of splitting bills in her relationship with Kelce, she emphasized that everyone should handle their finances in relationships as they see fit.

"To each his own. If people like to split their bills with their man, I think that's what you should do. I don't do that," she explained.

Although Nicole is only now addressing the rumors, it is evident she has moved on, as shown by her flirty exchange concerning Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts last December. 

The Blast reported that just a week after her social media antics, the TV host was spotted flying to Philadelphia to watch Hurts in action. 

She joined the wives and girlfriends [WAGs] of San Francisco 49ers stars Claire Kittle and Kristin Juszczyk to catch the Eagles vs. 49ers game.

Throughout the day, the trio shared moments from their party bus ride and private suite at Lincoln Financial Field, raising toasts and documenting their girls' trip. 

Despite Hurts' Eagles suffering a 42-19 defeat, Nicole kept things neutral, opting for a laid-back look with a Dodgers cap and leather jacket.

The journalism major's playful comment about the NFL star sent fans into a frenzy. Nicole had reacted to a video of the 26-year-old with the words, "fly eagles fly," catching the attention of X users.

Fans quickly chimed in, with many praising her for the cheeky move. One user wrote, "ohbaby this would be such an upgrade in every aspect.. imagine rocking midnight green on game days, instead of ketchup & mustard," referencing Hurts' Eagles colors versus Kelce's Chiefs red and yellow.

Another quipped, "Lmao she so real for this bc yeah we're all down bad for him."Others cheered on the flirtation,with statements like, "she's so real for this," while a fourth asked her to "turn it up."

Though Nicole may have sparked buzz with her interest in Hurts, she stayed focused on herself, returning to her "happy place" after leaving Kelce.

In an Instagram post, the influencer hinted at her self-care journey, sharing a video from the gym where she captioned, "back in my happy place," adding, "another day, another therapy session."

Dressed in a sleek workout ensemble featuring a white spaghetti-strap top and high-waisted gray tights, Nicole showed off her toned physique.

The video revealed her sporting silver accessories and a bandana, giving her followers a glimpse of her athletic form, including her midriff tattoo and toned hips.
