Fans Are Not Buying 'GMA' Host Lara Spencer's Apology for Laughing at Prince George

Lara Spencer apologized again on Monday's episode of "Good Morning America" for laughing at Prince George taking a ballet class, but fans still think she's royally full of crap.

"I screwed up," Spencer told her "GMA" co-hosts and the audience. She added, "The comment I made about dance was insensitive. It was stupid and I am deeply sorry."

Spencer explained, since the blunder, "I've spoken with several members of the dance community over the past few days ... I have learned about the bravery it takes for a young boy to pursue a career in dance."

The host then segued into a produced package where she sat down with three renowned male dancers and discussed the struggles they faced and how comments like the one she made can negatively affect young boys interested in dance.

Fans were quick to express how they felt about Lara's apology and her original comments.

"Not buying Lara's forced & disingenuous 'apology' with not a word from @GStephanopoulos about his + others inappropriate laughter," one fan tweeted.

"She’s a bully. That’s the part that’s the most troubling," another wrote. "Bullies only apologize when they’re scared they will lose something."

Spencer did receive support on social media from some people who felt the host was being genuine.

"We all make mistakes...what matters is that we learn from them. I still love you," a caring fan tweeted.

"Thanks to all involved for approaching a teachable moment as such, and handling it with the love and compassion our nation so desperately needs right now," another shared.

The incident went down on Friday's episode of "GMA" during a discussion of Prince George's school curriculum, which was released by the Royal Family.

"In addition to the usual first or second-grade things, like math, science and history, the future king of England will be putting down the Play-Doh to take on religious studies, computer programming, poetry and ballet, among other things," Spencer said which was immediately followed by a laugh from her, the crowd and her co-hosts.

Over the weekend, Spencer first apologized on Instagram:

"My sincere apologies for an insensitive comment I made in pop news yesterday. From ballet to anything one wants to explore in life, I say GO FOR IT. I fully believe we should all be free to pursue our passions. Go climb your mountain-and love every minute of it."
